My perfect EDC knife search is over ! (update: well maybe not)
I have a growing collection of mid range knives from Kershaw, Sarenmu & CRKT. All of them are good knives, but not the "perfect" edc knife I was after. This P108 is EVERYTHING and more. This knife is the perfect size, has great blade steel and reeks of quality. The blade is spot on centered and opens smooth and fast. From folded in pocket to open and ready, it is the fasted deploying knife I own (including several Speed Safe Kershaws). I can understand some reviewer's complaints about it being a bit slippery, stiff detente and the bottom frame screw was a bit loose. No biggie as I check all screws, clean, lube and strop every knife I get my hands on. This knife has saved me a bundle as I kept buying knives thinking "this would be the one". This knife is "the one". Personally, I can't imagine I'll ever need another edc knife. I'll be selling most of the others to buy another P108 in case something happens to this one, or maybe I'll get the blackwash version just to have. The detente is kinda stiff, but once you get used to it is no problem at all. No jimping...so what. This thing rides in my front pocket every day. It's a dream to carry and doesn't interfere with getting keys and change out of the pocket it lives in. The knife looks better in person and feels awesome in hand. The Beta lock is a feature I appreciate and under the right conditions will get used. Packaging was impressive as was the low price. This knife is a true gem and I couldn't be happier with it. It came plenty sharp and has held that edge very well. After heavy use since buying it last month, I've only needed to strop it to get it back to perfection. Hands down the absolute best $40 I've ever spent on a knife.Update: Well I guess I jinxed myself with a good review. The pocket clip lost tension (sprung). The knife has never caught on anything and has never been in any pocket other than my Rustlers. I tried to remove the two screws holding on the clip to bend it so it would hold tight in the pocket again, but one of the screws stripped. The other screw was loose. There was NO lock tight on either. I heated the screws in case there was before trying to remove. This makes me very leery as these are the only screws I've ever tried to remove. This knife is going back and I don't know if I'll buy it again. I've only had it less than a month and for this to happen so soon is a deal breaker. The search for my perfect edc knife continues.............

Excellent in every way.
So I just recieved my knife and I cannot find a single flaw. Everything from the design to the usage is excellent. The simplistic design makes the knife look elegant, it fits in my hand as if it were made for my hands, opening and closing it just feels good especially with the slick sounds, the blade itself is marked with the type of metals used and is extremely sharp, the frame lock is strong and the lock feature makes it even more safe, and in my opinion this style of pocket clip should be mandatory, it's strong enough to stay in place but isn't difficult to clip on or off. Overall this knife feels like it's worth $100. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Great budget knife
I saw this knife on a YouTube short one night and I figured it was at least $100. When he said how cheap it was I immediately started looking for one. It’s RAZOR SHARP out of the box, cuts hair on my arm with no catching. The action is crisp and decently smooth, it’s not skating on ice, but for $50 it’s one of the smoothest knives I have. It has a decent warranty, 15 day free replacement, 5 year free repair, and repairs for life. It looks sleek and premium, with some premium grade steel. I still can’t believe how cheap it was! On first impression it’s a pretty good knife. I’ll have to see how it does after a little bit of use.

Metal MAGIC!
Why do I have SO MANY knives? Obsession...perhaps! There must be at least 17-18 on my computer desk within easy reach, right now! I know what I like and it's well made things made of metal. All I can say is this particular Ruike (my first in the "collection") is Metal MAGIC! No thumb stud or hole means you MUST use the flipper. Mine was pretty stiff when I first "attempted" to open this knife but has been getting easier the more I use it and the more "determination" I decide to use with my index finger! Not having a stud or hole means the blade is basically completely hidden inside the frame. Makes for a slim profile. It's not the heaviest knife on my desk which is my CRKT Hammond Cruiser--168 Grams/ 5.9 oz. and comes in 20 grams less that my RAT 1 which is 139 Grams (4.9 oz. vs 4.2 oz.) It's WAY heavier than my lightest which is a Victorinox "Officer" at a bantam 32 grams (1.1 oz.) ! But this thing "Opens with Authority" with that satisfying sound of a Hammer Dropping on a M1911 .45 ACP! Precision built, no rough edges, great blade shape, came hair shaving sharp, easy to grip, comes with a lock for the fame lock and I think it's simplicity is what makes it SO ATTRACTIVE! For the price I paid...it's quite a DEAL.

Closing the knife - easy enough. Just the standard frame lock closure
Opening the knife - difficult. The detent on the knife was very strong. When using my left hand to open the knife, no issue. Opening the knife was smooth and fast. Opening the knife with my right hand was a bigger challenge. If my fingers touched the lockbar, deploying the knife felt near impossible. I know that this comment can apply to other framelock knives, and maybe for other folks, a strong detent makes for a safer knife so that it does not accidentally deploy, but this seemed excessive.Closing the knife - easy enough. Just the standard frame lock closure.Knife handling - good. Handle was on the slim side. There is no gimping. Weight is as expected for a stainless steel framelock, especially given the inside is milled out, so a little heavier than I like for an EDC knife, but not really heavy.Knife materials - very good for the price. This is a $40 ish knife. So a stainless steel framelock with 14C28N is decent, again this being an inexpensive knife. I liked the satin finish - so for a gentleman’s folder made for a beautiful knife.Verdict - returned. The deal breaker was the detent on the knife, making it difficult to open. I tried to break in the knife, opening and closing it for a few days, but in the end it was still too stiff. So a good knife if you get a good copy without the finicky detent.
