Will a ryzen 7 5700x work? how many fan headers? can i change the rgb on the board?

5700x will work, you may have to update the bios first though, I has 6 fan headers, I don't know if you can change the board rgb but it does have 2 or 3 rgb headers.

Trying to update the BIOS but it ends uo freezing on a constant red light near the USB port how can i fix this

Try a different usb stick these boards like cheap usb sticks for Some reason 🤔.a video on you tube as well. in end I sent mine back for a replacement due to faulty board would update at all

Hi, It's not usually possible to know if you will get a board which has already been updated or one you will need to update yourself. Some of the stock has been updated, some have not. I have the exact same CPU and I had to update the BIOS. However, because this board has a BIOS flash button at the back, It is very easy to update. You don't need an old CPU or RAM installed, all you need is PSU power and a USB flash drive. Follow the instructions from MSI. I hope this helps.

Does this support ryzen 5 5600x & rtx 3050 ?

Yes this board is fine for those components. Mine came with a BIOS that was already compatible with the 5000 series processors, though you can flash the BIOS on this board without a processor if needed (though you will need another computer to download the BIOS file and put it on a USB stick) The board has a x16 PCIe slot that will take the RTX 3050.
