Bought this radio for our new SxS. About a month ago the volume quit working while the radio was on. Thinking it needed a reset, I powered it off, only to find that it would not power up again. Since this unit was custom mounted in the dash (in a closed cab - never been wet), I didn't immediately remove it to check it out. Expecting to find a bad connection or blown fuse, I have now carefully checked everything. No blown fuse, all leads good - power and ground. Dead radio. This is such a disappointment because this radio was just what we needed, and we were satisfied with it - when it worked! Now it's just money badly spent unless Herdio steps up and makes good like they are offering to do for the other owners of dead radios. If that happens I will update my rating, but for now - 1 star.Update:Upon posting this review, I was contacted immediately by the Herdio Customer Service Team. I received a new unit no questions asked, and three days later it is installed and works like, well...the original one did when it was new. I am upping my rating to 4 stars for the excellent customer service.

This fit our boat radio opening measured 6in X 4in. The plug however did not match our crest boat. I had to splice the old plug to the radio. Not a big deal however.

It was a pretty easy install works great installed in my side by side. Radio reception is not good in my area even with purchased antenna

EDIT: They went ahead and replaced the unit promptly. I do like the radio just hope this one lasts longerLasted 2 months, display gets moisture behind it which is a little annoying but worst was that it worked great for 2 months and then died.

Didn’t work with sound will try to order another and hope that works. Was credited a refund so that was at least nice of them. Could just be faulty hopefully

Didnt keep it . Wasn't any instructions and the box was smahed pretty good . Afraid to keep it .

Easy install, everything worked great initially, after 1st rainfall exposure the unit has moisture in the digital readout and blue tooth connectivity no longer works. The boat has sat out of the weather for several days and the moisture and blue tooth issues are still the same. I purchased in Nov 2021 for my golf cart but only recently unboxed and installed in my boat. If the vendor or seller will exchange I'll try another one due to the cutout I made in my fiberglass helm for this purchase. Otherwise I'll move on to a different brand.

I run a construction company and I put these radios in bull dozers (lots of vibrations), skid loaders, wheel loaders, a boat, and a few atv’s. They are dust proof waterproof and tough as nails. We have 15+ of these in service none have failed fist radio was installed 6 years agoKeep in mind you have be fairly handy to build a mounting bracket for different applications but the extra effort to do it once is worth it

Fit nice easy install in my 23 defender

Sound is great and volume on 40W speakers is better than I expected. Has bass and treble and loudness control I did not expect . Bluetooth sounds real nice - actually better than the aux plug in which I did not expect. Receiver quality seems good - picks up same stations around home as other radios. Mounting will be a bit of a challenge as I am not panel mounting it.

The media could not be loaded.  Installed this in an aftermarket motorcycle fairing and ran it for 24 hours on a battery pack to test it. Ran flawlessly with very little heat build up.Pro: excellent sound even with my inexpensive 5ish inch speakers.Con: insufficient aluminum bracket length for installation through a thin wall dash so I will need to make up a longer one.
