VERY VERY BRIGHT AND MOTION DETECTION IS GREAT
I love this motion detector! I have the wired type on my shed, and I have to replace 2 of them each year, as they start to only work on and off after a year of rain and lots of snow. This motion detector uses 4 D batteries and I've had mine in for more than 4 months and they are still working great. The brightness of the 2 lights is like "Wow!" I can't say how weather wise this is yet.. after a few months of snow, I will report back if I feel that is a problem. I would recommend this for inside and outside of your home. I had this in my mud room for a month, as I lost a set of house keys, and was terrified of someone coming in the back door of the house. If I was a thief, or worse, the lights would blind me when the door opened! I bought this when it was on sale for a bit under $40, so when it goes on sale again, I plan on purchasing several more.

Easy to install, very bright
Screw the bracket into wood or use included anchors and attach to brick. Once installed, the head move back and forth and up and down. When activated by motion, lights come on and they are bright enough to light up a 1/2 basketball court. Have not tested how long the batteries last, but then again that depends on how many activations you have. If 8 per day, says the batteries will last a year. Easy to replace the batteries. Waterproof, but I have not tested it. Register your product on their web site and get a two year warranty instead of 1 year. I'll test for 3 months and if it keeps performing, I'll get another. TIP the model MBN3000 - the N stands for Networked. If you have more than one hanging up, you can set a togle switch so that when one goes off, all the others will go off as well (within 150 feet). If you have no desire to "network" your lights or only want to buy 1 light, then get the model MB3000 without the "N" and you will save about $20.

EXCELLENT LIGHTING FOR HORSE BARN
We installed a new 6 stall horse barn at our ranch. The barn has to be permitted by the County and because I live in CA they are very strict. I did not want to have to bring electrical power to the barn as that is a fairly large expense and permitting is tedious. So we found these battery operated lights that use 4 D-cell batteries that you can network together. We placed 2 units on the front and back of the barn and 1 along the side and had them set up to network to each other. So when one light is triggered all the lights come on......it works fantastic and the lumens are MORE than adequate for our needs. Highly recommended for those who need light but don't want to go through the trouble of running electical power.......purchase with confidence...

Great lights. Would've given it a five, but...
Great lights. I purchased two of these and put them out in front of my house. I linked them together so that when one comes on, they both come on and they worked flawlessly. They are very bright and light up the front yard pretty well. I would've given these a five except that one of the light failed last month. I thought the battery was dead, but when I took it apart, it looked like the inside battery chamber got corroded. I tried to clean it up and put some new batteries in, but I just could not get the light to work again. That said, I like these lights well enough that I went ahead and ordered a replacement yesterday to replace this bad one. I just wish it lasted more than 6 months. The second light is still going strong, and I have not replaced the batteries yet. That's pretty nice for battery operated lights to last six months or more.

Outoor lighting solved!
Great solution for outdoor lighting. We live in the country and don't like to have permanent outdoor lighting so we can see the stars (light pollution!). I had put off installing lighting on our garage and walkway because of the effort required to pull electrical wire through the attic and walls. Problem solved! Two of these on the front of the garage and one on the side walkway, configured to turn on together. Motion in front of any light turns all three on. I haven't had these long enough to speak to battery life but so far I am very satisfied. One caveat to keep in mind -- there is no ability to adjust or reposition the motion detectors on these fixtures. I had to take a fourth light down because there was a tree close enough to trigger the light every time a breeze moved the branches.

LOVE these lights
I can't say enough good things about these lights. They are networked together so when one comes on they all come on. Lights up any area immediately. Batteries last about a year. And we freeze for about a month in the winter. And plenty of rain. They just keep working. I keep buying more because I'm getting spoiled and like to see more and more of our property. I have not used the second available network for a separate area, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work.We had a deputy sheriff come by one night and he said he wished more people had lights like ours.

Better than expected!!
I bought two of these lights to be placed in my shed since I do not have electricity run to the structure. Mounting the lights was simple and I the quick release design for batter changes is excellent. The motion setting are also excellent as they do not turn on unless they sense insufficient light which means that they will last a long time. I also used the pairing feature with these two lights and it worked as stated. I will be buying more of these to place on the exterior of my house and shed since they work so well.

Not Particularly Bright
While these lights generally work OK, i.e., they detect motion pretty well, turn on when they do detect motion and are seemingly weather proof, they are not bright. I knew they were only rated at 500 lumens per unit when I bought them. But until you put them outside in a real world test you don't realize just how dimly lackluster 500 lumens is. It's about one 90W incandescent bulb. For even medium size (patio, garage, side yard) outdoor space lighting needs, 90W is not special IMHO. For the price and ease of installation I guess they're OK. But for me OK is not good enough.

Great product. Bright light. Adjustable. Sensor is great. (Screws are not ideal for outdoor install)
Great product. Bright light. Sensor is great. I installed 2 lights outside (on side of my house). The motion sensing works great. As soon as one light goes on the other will go on with about 1 sec lag. That is fine.Lights are bright. Adjustable. Great. One this is that the screws supplied with it are small in diameter and they recommend 1/16" drill hole. There are no brick / concrete drill bits of that size . I bought bigger screws and did the drilling and completed the install. The screws given are small in diameter and not ideal for outdoor install. I spent couple of dollars to buy 6 screws (larger diameter, philips head) and installed with no issues.

very narrow beam width for motion detection - too high or too low and the detection is horrible
Easy to use, and lights connect to each other well, but the motion detection is essentially unusable and the short light time makes them almost useless, because you have to keep approaching them to turn them back on - this product needs an adjustable light time setting

Cheap screws
Overall, the motion detection is good and the lights do their job. However, the screws are very thin, cheap and ungalvanized. Had one screw snap while installing. Had to remove one light to reposition but the screws easily stripped because of their size and they are phillips head. Recommend the use of other, more durable, screws.

It works well
The light turns on when a human walks near, as designed, even at or below 0 degree Celsius or 32 degree Fahrenheit. I was a bit concerned whether the off the shelf batteries that were installed would work at low temperatures. The batteries did work. I wish the range of detection of motion is bigger. I am not sure whether it is designed to detect the motion of small animals, such as cats, small dogs, raccoons, squirrels or rats. I wish it can.
