Mission Meats Meat Sticks Variety Pack, Zero Sugar, Healthy Snacks, 12ct

I bought this multi pack because I recently was talking with someone in the company and decided to try their offerings. I was encouraged after trying the organic beef stick; good flavor, texture, although size was a little small at 0.75oz. Unfortunately i went to try the Original beef stick--tasted rotten. On closer examination the meat looks dusky compared to some other sticks (see picture). The other Original in the pack had the same look and taste... disgusting. Also discarded. I did look closely at the Cracked Pepper Pork which had some ashen color hues...also hints of rotten meat taste but not as bad. Discarded. The turkey looked OK but was a very gamey and unpleasant flavor. Discarded. The jalapeno beef looked good and was flavorful. All sticks looked sealed properly so I would assume the problems are prepackaging. Bottom line, only 4 out of 12 was edible to me. UPDATE: I have to give credit to Mission Meats. They are about their customers. I had closed the book on this purchase but they messaged me to say that something wasn't right. They gave me the opportunity to get another sampler direct from them. All the included products (Original Organic, Cracked Pepper Pork, Tumeric Beef, Jalapeno Beef, and Kids Original) were excellent tasting and quality. Have updated my review to reflect the excellent customer service and also the quality of their products. As a fan of meat sticks, I will definitely add these as a favorite.

I've had several shipments of this brand. At first my variety pack shipments were great. Enjoyed the taste and knowing it was minimal processing ingredients. The last few shipments I was getting close to expiration date products and the last shipment had 2 past date. Now I know sometimes things are still good past the date, but these, even three months before the date are waxy and really salty and the taste is off. I sent a message to the seller. It was a warehouse shipping issue apparently, and a one-off, hopefully. The seller has been gracious and easy to communicate with in order to make it right.

Use organic celery and I'll buy a few hundred of your products!! Non-organic celery -grown with fertilizers- Do have nitrates, per several health and food websites. I don't want to bash this company, or list all the (reputable) websites... Just advising to read about marketing mindsets, such as "...but it's true; consumers just have little reading comprehension skills" toward unsuspecting "No Added Nitrates". I was unable to find comparable data regarding amount of synthetic nitrates versus celery with naturally occurring nitrates. Celery must be grown organically - without nitrogen fertilizers. I enjoyed my order so far, yet I'm considering disposing of the rest. ***These products are *Not too spicy and *Not too peppery, *Not too chewy/hard***, and I never liked these type of products until now. Although it is a great concept, great flavors, you'll get more consumers if you incorporate "Organic celery which has NO naturally occuring nitrates". For those who consume all the other brands of jerky, try these; I liked them much better, including the pork (with CrunchMaster small seed crackers at grocery or Amazon. ) ----Dec2023

If you are like me, there is a snack machine at work, filled with stuff that is not good for you, even the lone jerky product. But since its the lone jerky product, and you want to stay low carb, you take it. But its not satisfying. Well I had low expectations (Ive tried every brand out there) and have finally found a great keto / low carb energy hit, thats convenient. This is a nice mix of sticks and bars - love that its nitrate and nitrite free which is not easy to find. The flavor is pure and unadulterated beef or turkey with a variety of spices and nothing else. I feel like some of the more “healthy” brands add oddball fillers like cranberry - it just doesnt taste right. In addition sometimes those other products are too tough, like you could break a tooth. Ive gotten this pack several times and the bars are a bit chewy, but to tough at all. Love that the beef is grass-fed type which is also rare. I’m on autodelivery now.

I bought variety pack, turkey is horrible, then tried pork…one bite & something looked odd in the center meat, wet sticky stick sour like spoiled, next tried Jalapeno pepper….actually ate stick, only one edible out of the 4 flavors, mot sure if the spices masked bad taste or spices prevented spoiling, originsl was horrible too……3 cats will not eat even a tiny piece, yet when I buy “Chomps” they all want bites….I doubt these are what is advertised….came in a odd plastic bag that looked like a shirt or something else was in bag prior & in their kitchen they tossed them in an excess piece of plastic. I checked the dates on sticks thinking must be spoiled, but still had a few months to go. Zero return policy, bad business, bad food…buy “Chomps….they are amazing beef keto sticks, unlike this garbage.

I see a lot of reviews complaining of mold, thankfully I didn't see them until after I ordered. I received these today, just tried my first one and it was delicious! I have only tried the original so far, but have high hopes for the other flavors based on the original. I do suggest these they are yummy, a bit pricy but worth it, and none of mine came with mold or packaging issues. I will for sure keep purchasing these as they're healthy and delicious.
