Will I have to press the ball joints myself?

Yes you do but anyone one can easily press them in. It is more difficult to remove the old one than install a new one. Just use any regular ball joint press. Make sure you lube both the ball joint & the knuckle really well. After 3-4 cranks, remove the press to check & make sure that the ball joint is going in straight & not crooked.
