Quality solar option
***UPDATE - 1 year in on this product and it still works the same as new. I have been pleased with it's overall performance. Definetely worth the 99 bucks. The only negative I have seen is the paint fades, its an off black/gray now. Of course that is expected since it sits in the sunlight all day. Very easy to repaint so not an issue. ---------------------------------------------- I had an old mercury vapor yard lamp that I wanted to replace but kept being drawn to solar options since the location has sun all day. Why pay for electricity if there is a good solar option? I did a ton of research, considered converting my current lamp to solar with panels, etc., but ended up finding this product. I like the look and it had decent reviews, so I figured for $99 why not give it a shot. The replacement of the old unit was a breeze, all I had to do was shut off the power and properly cap the wires and this lamp fit perfectly on the 3" pole. So far its performance has been great. It's automatic turning on at dusk, and stays bright through most of the night. It dims in brightness pre-dawn as it looses energy. The light will never be as bright as a powerful LED or other powered options but honestly I didn't want a blinding light anyway. It has plenty of power to light up our driveway and front of the house. It also has an off switch which is perfect for my family if we want to look at stars with the kids. The real measure on solar lights is longevity and how long this lasts, and only time will tell there. You can easily replace the batteries the solar panels charge, so if they die that is no problem. If this thing lasts 5+ years then it is a bargain!

Great light from a responsive manufacturer
These lights are great and the manufacturerโs customer service is fantastic. Let me explain. I bought a pair of these lights a year ago and was able to install them on my brick walkway posts that get direct sunlight most of the day. They are nice and bright and generally stay light until dawn especially when getting a full day of sun. Not long ago one of the lights went out and I found that two of the three rechargeable batteries had failed and swelled making them impossible to replace. Since the light was still under warranty, I contacted the manufacturer to describe my problem. They got back to me within two days. After sending them the Amazon order number and a photo of the damaged battery covers, they authorized a replacement light to be delivered. I received it even faster than expected. I highly recommend these lights to anyone looking for a great looking solar powered light from a reliable manufacturer.

Good choice
I'm glad I chose this light from the many, many options that were available. The light is very sturdy, made of metal and glass, and does not feel cheap at all. Other things I like about it: comes with a mounting base in case you don't want to pole mount it mounting base is appropriately sized to add a classy look as well as a stable platform uses led highly efficient led lights - they throw a lot of light without killing the batteries cannot tell it is an led light - looks traditional 4 solar panels to provide a good charge Most people want to know how bright it is. I have it mounted on the corner of my retaining wall for the purpose of illuminating the 4 stairs from the driveway to the front walk. This does a fine job at that. I would describe the output to be like a typical porch light with a 40-60 watt bulb. It won't blind you or lightup your whole yard but it gives plenty of light. Update: I ordered 2 of these lights in 2 separate orders. The 2nd one came with a defective battery. Fortunately I did not just stick it out in the sun for 24 hours before using, as recommended by the instructions. I removed the batteries and put them in my Litecore intelligent charger. One failed to ever take a charge and shows as 0 on my battery tester. If I had just let the sun do its thing without using my charger I would've never known one of the 3 batteries is dead - I would've just wondered why one of my lights was not as good as the other. Obviously, I replaced the defective one with a spare I had. Now I let them charge by sunlight, as designed.

Good replacement for 3" pole lamp
@18 month update: Still hanging in. I can say that through 18 months of use under heavy tree cover this light manages to hang in and stay lit from sundown to sun up every night AFAIK. It provides enough light to know that its there, but I'm not going to say that you can hope to do anything useful aside from not running into something by the light it gives off. For my purposes this is fine, but if you are looking to light an area for security purposes this may not fully fit the need. As mentioned before I've reapplied the UV headlight spray to the solar collectors on top to keep them in top shape. @ 2 month update: Still performing well. While there has not been much wet weather exposure, it appears to hold up well to exposure to long stretches of 100F (~40C). While I can't confirm it lasts sundown to sunup, it makes it at least 6 hours. So far the only thing I've seen as a slight negative is that the screws mounting the light assembly at the top will rust on you. I removed them and hit them with some primer and flat back spray paint. Because I have had lots of problems with the plastic overlay on solar cells weathering to white and blocking the light enough to kill the cell effectiveness, I shot these with some headlight UV spray coating (https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-G17804-Clear-Headlight-Coating/dp/B01M4RVVX6) in the hopes that this will last more than 18 months. Because the whole top is plastic, I pretty much coated the whole top area. _______________________________ @ purchase: Bought to replace very old natural gas fueled yard pole light (the gas had been disconnected years ago). The old lamp was on a 3" pole so this fit perfectly (after some cleanup and repainting). Although there are three taped screw holes for tightening to the pole, the one I received only had two set screws. This does not appear to be an issue when securing the light to the pole. I might like for the lights to be brighter for a bit more distance penetration, but it's good enough for my use. My install is under a cluster of fairly large trees so it so it gets direct sunlight 2 hours per day at most, so while I do have concerns about its ability to sufficiently charge over the long haul during the summer months, I've seen no issue over the week its been installed. I look to update this review after some time has gone by about its performance under mostly shady conditions over time.

Long term quality!
Weโve had these for over a year now and theyโre still very bright and perfect! We live where it rains a ton and we get every season and they have held up so well! They were super easy to drill into our brick wall posts. The size is just right! We will be buying more.

Works Well Looks Good
Works well and looks good. Have had two of these for 37 months. Have changed batteries twice, after three years each time. Performance wanes over time as batteries age which is normal. Plastic battery socket covers get brittle after about three years, but they still close. I'm happy with these.

Not super bright, but lasts till morning.
So, we installed this on December 19, two days before the shortest day of the year. It is not super bright, but bright enough and so far had lasted through till the morning. It is fainter as the night goes on, but does the job. So far, very satisfied. FYI, we live in Augusta GA. Update 1/22/2020: Light is still performing well and lasting until morning. So far, I have been impressed. The light comes on at dusk and makes it to morning during these long winter nights. The light is fairly dim come morning, but really, I just wanted good power until midnight. So far, pleased with the purchase. Update 4/28/2021: Very pleased with this purchase. Light is still performing very well. I haven't had to change the battery yet and no issues with the light. Would buy again. Update 1/13/2023: This has been a great light. No issues and still working off original batteries, even with a very cold winter and some shade in the area of the light. I will change the batteries in the spring, as the light doesn't last as long as originally, but I would recommend those looking for a solar light to avoid the hassle of running an electric line.

Nice looking light ! no mounting screws, led light weak
Love the form & look of light. Looks great atop mailbox post. Desired a bright solar powered light to avoid installing 75โ of electric wire & conduit. With 4 solar panels atop & an led lightโฆthought light would be bright. Its dull and light barely looks on from 10โ away. Forget 75โ. Screws to install would have been nice to avoid a trip to big box home store for screws. Needed 3 screws, had to buy a pack of 50. Anyone need 47 screws?

Good Product but come with two disapointment that can be fixed
Very Good Product lighting is great and last long. We bought 3 pieces. Don't get me wrong, product itself is great only few disappointment which are are the two following point but can be fixed. Actually, the manufacturer should look at the pictures in order to understand the issues and improve their products. Issue #1: Four opening under the light, that let all insects attracted by light at night getting inside and making mess specially spiders with their net. I am actually working on that issue in order to fix that, cutting 4 thin pieces of acrylic and sticking them in order to block this openings and as well not affecting the reflection of the mirrors at the bottom of the light. Manufacturer Improvement #1 Should be improved using thin clear acrylic or mosquito net. Issue #2: The mounting base is too thin and fragile, when mounting on a post. I was obliged to fully fill the base with quick cement, in order reinforce it, because when you screw the base on the surface the four holes in the base are getting crushed, you cannot really make a secure installation. SEE PICTURES ATTACHED FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO USE THE WAY I USE AND WHICH WAS SUCCESSFUL. Manufacturer Improvement #2 Should make the base thicker or reinforced the four corners, where it get bolted on the surfaces. Generally, the product is good and I will possibly purchase another two pieces, now that I know what to do in order to fix those issues. We loved it and it give a nice looking to the flower square.
