⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “The Iron That Made Me a Wrinkle-Fighting Hero!”
I never thought I’d love an iron, but here we are. This Philips Azur 8000 Series is an absolute powerhouse. It glides over my laundry like a figure skater at the Olympics, leaving behind perfectly smooth, wrinkle-free glory. Honestly, I’m half expecting a cape to come with it because it makes me feel like a superhero of housework! The steam boost is no joke—it’s like having a mini dragon helping you tackle stubborn creases. And the OptimalTEMP Technology? Life-changing. No more panic attacks over accidentally scorching my favorite shirt. It’s as if this iron reads my mind and adjusts itself like some kind of laundry wizard. Now ironing is less of a chore and more of a power move. Whether it’s shirts, sheets, or the occasional kid’s craft project, this iron takes everything in stride. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to feel like they’ve conquered Mount Laundry—one smooth shirt at a time! 🦸♀️✨

Good iron, but cable too short
Got this after a glowing Which? review.User guide was usual Phillips mess - single sheet covering every language known to humanity, which folded out to the size of a circus tent, then couldn’t be folded back up again.Iron is OK in use, but the cable is very short - it barely stretches the length of the board, plus a metre to the wall socket - shortest cable I’ve seen on an iron for a long time. The user guide advises coiling the cable round the rear of the iron when storing, but this never seems to stay in place, and just unravels everywhere.Build quality seems OK, but only time will tell. What might be a bonus here is the lack of buttons (there’s only a trigger to spray water, and a sturdy flushly-fitted switch to turn steam on and off), so there are fewer flimsy plastic bits to break - I’m looking at you Bosch, after buttons breaking off twice in 2 previous Bosch irons.

This is an incredible iron!
This may sound cheesy, but this iron is on an other planet compared to conventional irons, no temperature dial to flaff with, just fill it up with ironing water, plug it in and away you go! It glides over of all the creases with ease. It makes ironing shirts a breeze. It is expensive, but worth it for the results!

Worst Iron EVER!
I’ve had better £20 irons than this! Thought because I paid a lot more (than I would normally for an iron) I was getting a good product! All this one has done is ruin my clothes and to add insult to injury, it doesn’t even iron creases out! There is no temp control so you are at the mercy of the iron … the bit that collects the calcium keeps falling out, it’s plastic and cheap looking, but what gets me most is the water just gushes out over the garment (and iron board) and any water that gets on your garment ends up leaving rust looking marks! (See photo)! Quiet possibly worst iron I’ve ever had and defo not worth the money - steer clear! I’d give zero stars if it would let me … I’m still on the hunt for a good iron … !!!P.S Also when first plugged in all that happens is the light flashes, it doesn’t heat u, but then if you unplug then re plug in it finally heats up … thus taking ages to heat. Quite frankly, worst iron I’ve ever had!!

Slightly disappointed in this steam iron.
This iron takes some getting used to!! It does not heat up to begin with, needs to be switched on and off a few times to generate any heat. It is advertised as recognising the fabric you are ironing and adjusting the heat as needed. I personally dont think it gets hot enough at times. It also needs to have the water topped up frequently to keep the steam going. I have persevered, however, but can't say I would recommend or repurchase.

Philips Domestic Appliances Azur 8000 Series Steam Iron
This electric iron is excellent. It fully performs all that it is expected to do to a high standard which makes ironing both easier and quicker. Over the years I have had a number of irons but this one is by far the best.

very disappointed
The Iron is easy to use, however was hard work with creased linen or high thread count cotton bedding. The iron has been used once or twice a week for a two person household, so not overused by any stretch of the imagination. I used deionising water in the iron every time.Be aware:Three weeks ago after having the iron for two months i suddenly noticed brown fluid squirting out of the holes where the steam come from, which is strange as I was under the impression was self cleaning.Today I contacted Amazon and spoke to a very polite customer services personnel who explained that I would need to return the iron and if it was determined it needed replacing this would happen then.Unfortunately from experience who knows how long this would take and meanwhile i am without an iron. I have decided to use a solution to clean the iron and if this doesn’t work to purchase another manufacturers product.

Decent iron
Not as good as the original optimal temperature iron. Handle not comfortable especially for arthritic hands.Nice lightweight iron, good long flex and I find it easy to fill compared to some previous reviews as I kept the filler jug that was supplied with my previous iron but a small jug would easily do the job. Obviously Phillips have cut back on that but raised the price of the iron. Instructions are rubbish, just confusing pictures. I do like these optimal irons as you don’t have to keep changing the temperature.
