First in gambler series
This was so good I bought the paperback for my mom. I love to listen to the Audibles, but mom loves a good series regardless of genre. So Cathy is one of my go to authors to keep mom supplied in books. Three sisters, the gambler’s daughter series is one of my favorites now. The narrator is fantastic, and the story compelling.

Solid start to a new series
Starting a new series can be quite a gamble (pun intended) at times, but this was a solid start to the Gambler's Daughters series. The series centers around three sisters left without fortune or connections, but are just clever enough to carve out a future of their own making no matter what it takes. Going in blind, it was hard to see which forerunner would take the lead in this race, but I quickly realized Dara would be the one to steal the show.... and steal the show, she did. If you are craving some serious girl drama energy in your life with a splash of mystery thrown in, this might be your cup of tea. A Kiss in the Moonlight is an eclectic mix of Bridgerton meets The Bachelor in this adventure to find a wealthy, titled husband... but as we all know, sometimes matters of the heart lead us into another direction entirely. Or, they lead us to breaking our sibling's heart. (I mean, who doesn't love a good fight over a dude?) Overall, quarrels and misunderstandings abound in this series starter. It was enjoyable, but I think I would've given this a higher rating had this not been as devastating for one of the three sisters, and also because I did not enjoy the romance between Dara and Michael as much as I thought I would. Perhaps some of that was simply due to the circumstances of the two of them getting together. In any case, I expect hearts will be mended, and more shenanigans will come as the series progresses. I am definitely interesting in reading the second book.

Great start to a new series
Loved the characters. Story was really good as well. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to Elise's and Gwendolyn's books.
