I needed something to trim the edged of my lawn where the mower cant reach, & something with a bit more finesse than my Strimmer which can butcher my lawn unless Im very carefull, & I wanted something a bit beefier than a 3.6V cordless trimmer & saw this with good review. A little sceptical at first, as I had never heard of this brand, & I didnt know whether to save money & buy the vesrion without the extension arm, or get thsi oneUnit came pre-charged, but in the end I opted for this one with the extension arm. I've only used this once so far, for about 25 minutes , so I cant comment on longevity, but these are my intital thoughts after 1st use.... Overall build quality is pretty good, & all the pieces seems well made & fit together well. The trimmer unit is very light & comfortable to use use a a hand-held. The extension arm & wheeled base is very light, & works really well, which is great for ease of use, but I dont think it would stand up to much rough abuse. However, treat it with a bit of respect & it should last for years The trimmer attachements are sharp & work well trimming grass edges. Battery light is great for such a small lightweight unit. Bear in mind this is only intended for LIGHT use, so dont purchase this if you are looking to trim you established hedge. However it does works really well on lawn edges, soft "green" branches / shoots up to 4-5mm thick, & harder "Brown "branches" up to about 2-3mm thick. Blade swapping was a tad on the fiddley side, but only took me about 20 seconds, so nothing major. For lightweight use its brillinat & glad I spent the extra on the Externsion arm model, as save me bending down all the time. I do wonder how the 3.6 Volt models would cope. Maybe they're ok & work well, but I didnt want to take the chance they werent up to the job, So I spent the extra for this 7.2 Volt model, & Im glad I did as I wouldnt want a trimmer to be any less powerfull than this, even if it is only for light tasks. Anyway.... Im very please with my purchase & I would recommednd this to others.

I was skeptical, particularly because the price was so low. The product comes in five parts: An extension handle (like a broom shaft), a charger, the main unit containing the battery and motor, two attachments (one for cutting grass and another for cutting hedges) and a holder for the hand unit (this allows it to be attached to the long handle). I have about ten fruit trees on about two acres of grass. They were planted only a couple of years ago and are still only about 7 feet high. The trunks are tender and the last thing I want to do is damage them with the ride on mower (easy to do). I had been cutting the grass close to the trees with hand shears as it very easy to misjudge where a strimmer is cutting and therefore easy to damage the trees. This cutter does the job very well. It is powerful enough to cut through thick grass about four inches long and seems very sharp, at least for the mean time (I've only spent about an hour using the tool so far). The handle which can be attached to avoid bending works quite well although getting the length correct (it's adjustable) seems to be important otherwise it won't lie at 90 degrees to the ground. I tried out the hedge trimmer attachment on fledgling hedge shrubs and it seemed to work very well. It's very light compared to petrol motor tools and I imagine it would suit those with less powerful arms very well. The attachments are a little tricky to change (not difficult, but not as simple as engaging a seat belt in a car shall we say). All said .... I'm much more pleased with my purchase than I expected to be. I have not tested it to its limits yet but so far I have had no trouble with the battery. I must have used it for about an hour and the battery was still going strong. I suspect it will give excellent service to anyone using it for an hour a week on light to medium levels of work but it might well be capable of more. I am unlikely to push it much farther than an hours work a week so I hesitate to say it will cope well with much more. I suspect it will.

Great product. I didn’t think this would even touch my long overgrown grass, but it was no problem. Quick, light and easy to manage. To get it to work you have push the side button in and the button on the back, that took a bit of time working that out. It shows in vid to use extending pole on both grass and hedge but on the instructions it says not to use on hedge but would make the item even better if you can use the extension pole on both grass and hedges. Battery life only get an hour after on charge a few hours so this could be improved.

Found hedge cutter not suitable for thick hedging (too light weight for dense cutting) However edge cutter great. Cut around shrubs and flowers no problem. Easy to recharge. Hedge cutter really not good. Edge trimmers great
