Really Great for Hand Strength
Great Product to workout hands. Can really feel the difference from other products I use. Love it

Great company
The product works and I felt the strength within a week of using it. The bag broke within about 3 weeks. I want another one but it’s pretty pricey for not lasting that long. The owner reached out and offered to replace it, I don’t know too many companies that care about the consumer. That alone gets 4 stars.

Good idea, but not quite there for me
I like the idea of having a portable bucket of rice to train your hands, but I felt that it was limited in space and the glove was too hard to get on and off.I found that once I got my hand in place that this device works great for training the squeeze in your grip strength, but I returned it since it was too difficult for me to get my hands in and out and I also craved more grip training options. When we trained with sand or rice in martial arts, we would strike, stab, squeeze and splay our hands and I found this to be a very effective training method. Unfortunately I couldn't strike, stab or splay my hand inside the Gorilla device. I especially think the splay is important or else you're training only one direction in your grip strength. When I tried to splay the material didn't provide enough resistance and the sand rolled away.

Love the idea and execution
Definitely a great exercise - I feel my tendons and grip muscles engaged and working in the movements through the rice. The rice can slip away which lowers the resistance, but you can just flip it over and reset. I wish there was an instructional video as I often wonder if I’m doing it right or to learn the movement variations, but it feels right and I’m getting a good workout out of it while I’m at my desk. No complaints and I’m happy with it so far!

Fries your forearms and fingers
I'm having a little trouble typing after using this for about a minute on each hand. My forearms are pumped, and I can feel it all through my fingers and down the backs of my hands. Wow. I'm not a grip or grip-related athlete or anything, but I have a bunch of hand grippers, a wrist roller, and other devices, and have long trained my forearms, wrists, and hands. While it is based on an ancient concept, this device and method of training is new for me, and it is awesome. What's great about it is that it mimics a bucket of rice without the waste and the mess and the maintenance and worries about pests or whatever with your bucket of rice. This is easily stored and totally self-contained.A couple of caveats come with my five-star review. One, it is not so easy to get on. Half your workout will be getting your hand in and through the rice into a position where you can exercise. If you then don't hold the inner glove lining when you take it off, it will come out inside out and you will have to force it back in. This will be a minor pain in the neck in addition to your hands. I know because this happened to me. And that is when I found a major loose thread. The inside of this thing is like a loose cotton. It is very soft and feels good, but if it breaks, the device is shot. I hope this doesn't happen, especially if I'm using this at my desk as I am now. The outer bag seems durable enough but not super-durable, as I feel it should be. So, there are some concerns there, but overall it will change the way you view hand/forearm workouts. After all these words, I'm still making typos. My hands still haven't recovered!

Good way to get the workout without the mess
I really enjoy this product. I can feel it working whenever I use it. So far a sturdy, quality product. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is it is a bit expensive for a canvas bag filled with rice with a gardening glove sewn into it, but beggars can’t be choosers.

Great grip tool!
This is a portable, no mess, version of the rice bucket. It lets you sort of grasp and churn at the medium without spilling any. Recommended for grip enthusiasts, grapplers, shooters, and anyone else who places a lot of faith in their hands.

A Great Option for Some, Not So Much for Others
The older I get the tighter jar lids seem to get, so I ordered this thinking it would be a good way to build additional strength in my hands. I wasn't sure what to expect, but basically this grip strengthener reminds me of a boxing glove filled with rice. There are five holes inside the glove that you put your fingers into to squeeze the rice. After several training sessions I have determined that this grip strengthener is not challenging enough for me. However, I am fairly fit and quite active, so maybe my hands are stronger than I thought.I think this product would be great for someone who is completely new to strength training or lacks strength in the hands for one reason or another. I could see this being a wonderful therapy tool for someone suffering from arthritis or other painful conditions that compromise grip strength. For those who are acquainted with strength training or already have decent grip strength, a typical spring-loaded grip trainer might be a better option.
