I've had 4 of these....Every single one failed badly!!
I've had four of these. On three of them the turning handle stripped off the shaft immediately and wouldn't open or close. The fourth one seemed to work OK until I tried to open the valve to drain the system after about 8 months in place. The shaft had frozen in place and would not open. I had to remove the whole valve to drain the system. Pure junk. It looks nice out of the package but is very poorly made. Don't waste your money. Buy a more expensive one to begin with. You only get what you pay for in this world.

Replaced plastic drain plug
It fit my aluminium radiator perfectly. Plastic one started to leak and this one is what I use to see on radiators, but I guess plastic saves them money. This was a good buy.

Piece of junk
Put it in. I'm an auto technician and this is not a difficult task. The t part twists on the shaft. Rather then return it I solder it together and got it to work. Chinese junk but it is actually a dorman product. They only package the thing. Could not find one at a parts store. Should have gone to napa. They probably would have one

Nope.
Garbage. Handle immediately broke loose from body with very little effort, cannot open valve once seated. Not worth returning. Easiest remedy is a touch of tinning flux and a dab of solder to bond the "wing nut" to the threaded stem. But, why do I have to do this to a brand new part? Come on Dorman... do you actually verify QC on your products? This one sticks out like a sore thumb. Maybe it won't leak... don't know yet.

Dorman 61106 HELP! Radiator Drain Cock
Dorman 61106 HELP! Radiator Drain CockExcellent product.. My 69 Chevy Truck came OEM with this type of drain cock and was tired and bent. This was a exact replacement for it.I like the fact that I can put a rubber hose on the end and direct the antifreeze right in to a 5 gal. bucket or drain pan. This is much better than a big uncontrollable mess all over the floor and frame of my truck. Some times its the little things that make a big difference.Buy with confidence.RagenRat

Bought this one and it works fine!
After 24 years, the original Radiator Drain Cock failed on my 1991 5.7L R3500 Cheyenne Truck. Bought this one and it works fine!

Item seems poor quality.
Not crimped properly and the wing nut part of it is loose so I can’t really open and close the valve properly. I’d consider returning and asking for replacement but that means I’d have to drain the coolant again and what do I put in there while I wait for a replacement.
