This V-Mount battery plate (Model No. ST43) arrives in a Neewer branded cardboard box. Inside the box is the plate itself, a hex key and 2 x ¼” screws.Made of metal, the plate is machined well and has a nice finish throughout. Given it is made of metal, it is fairly light weight at just under 200g, yet still extremely robust.It is designed to slide onto 15mm rods, using two clamps that can be tightened independently. It also has multiple ¼” and 3/8” sockets to allow you to connect equipment to it, or it to other equipment. The plate is designed in such a way that you can have the battery mounted vertically or horizontally, which is handy.The plate can accommodate most V-Mount batteries. It is a ‘cold’ mount, so unlike more expensive mounts, it has no electrical connections of it’s own. Most V-Mount batteries these days have there own outputs, so this shouldn’t be a problem.In use the plate held the battery securely. The release button worked well and it was easy to both install and remove the battery. The clamping mechanism also worked well, without marking my rods.In conclusion this is a well made, practical, V-Mount battery plate, and one I have no issue highly recommending.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest opinion about it. Brilliant quality v mount which is just as good as the ones from better known big name brands and works in the exact same way. Simple to fit and a solid build and great price so would recommend as very pleased with it so far and no issues.

I needed a V-Mount Battery Plate for my camera rig and this NEEWER 15mm Rail mount plate is ideal. It comes supplied with additional screws and an Allen key to enable to the user to configure the plate orientation when fitted to rails so that it fits in with other items attached to a Camera Rig.The overall build and materials used seem to be of good quality. It attaches to both Carbon or Alloy rails of 15mm diameter without scratching them and locks securely using the turn lever on either side to tighten. Single V-Mount batteries attach to the bracket very easily and remain secure until the red plunger is depressed to remove a battery from the bracket. This bracket has no power connections and is simply a carrier plate to enable a battery to be fitted securely to a rail system.For the price I think it is a good value V-Mount plate, which is visually well finished and functions exactly as expected. I have used it several times with no issues and recommend it for those who only require a mount compatible with 15mm rail systems to enable a battery to be secured to a Camera Rig without the plate having its own integrated electrical connections.

If you need a good, cold v-mount, this one fits the bill well. Especially recommended if your battery pack already has enough outputs inbuilt - which is becoming common with the new higher power USB standards - so doesn't need a (much more) expensive wired v-mount.All metal, can be fitted horizontally or vertically, and its fairly lightweight given its all metal (there is a sizeable cutout at the back which prevents too much solid and heavy metal).The only slight downside is of course the usual issue with the v-mount standard; the release button sticks out too much, making it far too easy to accidentally release! This is unfortunately common to the v-mount standard itself, and I just put a bit of masking tape on the red lever so the tape has to be removed before the battery can be push-released (my battery has a USB pd charge port on it, so can be charged without removing it, so all good there). They should really have put a little hole in the push-lever as part of the standard, so you could put a tie wrap or bit of wire in to prevent accidental push-open!Overall recommended for anyone needing a cheap but sturdy v-mount on a rail based rig.

The NEEWER V Mount is a unique and innovative design that is perfect for a variety of situations, from using the mount in the typical way as a smartphone mounting plate, to using it with a tripod. have to say that this is the best mount I've ever used. The quality is excellent and the design is so simple and easy to use that I don't have to think about it. I just bolt it to the plate and it's ready to go. And the fact that it's metal makes it perfect for the rig cage . Their products are built to last, and they are so affordable that you can afford to have a NEEWER product in your life.

What an excellent V-Mount this is by NEEWER! If you are after an excellent quality mount without all of the gimmicks and unnecessary branding, you've come to the right place! The V-mount is heavy duty and very well made using high-end aluminium alloy. Thus, you can rest assured that the mount will withhold the weight on a battery that's clipped on without fail or strain. Speaking of which, batteries clip on with ease and is locked into place well without any loose ends. This makes the product very stable and the battery can then be released via a red button on the side.I love just how thin and lightweight the mount is, no gimmicks, just straight quality and convivence as you can take it on the go with ease.
