versatille color palette
Great product. Smooth write. These are great for journals, planners and artwork. The ability to use the same pen for bold thick lines and outlines is really cool; love the dual head feature. What a nice color palette that is both bright and moody.

Nice basic set of Duel Tipped Marking Pens
Tombow makes great duel tipped markers, and have done so for years. This bright set of 10 markers should be no different. Their markers (though now they call them pens) are versatile, come in a number of colors and sets, and the ink lasts a long long time, which is what makes Tombow such a popular choice for markers in general - and when they combine a brush tip pen with a regular tipped pen - you end up with two great markers in one. This set comes with two different pinks. one yellow, one orange two light greens, a greenish blue, a turquoise blue and a light and dark purple. Each marker does come with two caps - the large color cap you see in the photo fits the brush end of the marker, and a regular type cap covers the regular end. The caps stack one on top (or over) the other when using the marker. The ink used is also water based, and also acid free, which is important if you want to help preserve what you are doing with the marker. The inks are bendable as well,These markers take a long time to dry out if you accidentally lose the cap for the marker, which is why I purchased this set. While I only wanted to replace the single marker I had lost the cap on because I had not stacked the cap while I was using it, it was almost the same cost to purchase this set of 10 markers, one of which is very similar in color to the marker I had wanted to replace than it was to purchase the single marker of the same color. For reference, I lost the marker cap 8 weeks ago, and has sat uncapped since then. It was not new either, and only now is the marker really starting to write like a dried out marker. This is definitely a 5 star marker because you will get your money's worth with these markers if you are relatively careful with them. I took two stars off in the rating for being a good marker set for beginners, and in this regard, I am considering beginners as children mostly, but adults too that either may be hard on markers or slightly more likely to lose caps, only because there are similar dual tipped markers out there that do the same essentially the same thing but are cheaper to purchase (unless Tombow markers are on sale). They will likely have less ink, and less color choices, and not quite as good a pen tip, but they are still perfectly good as markers.

DUAL Brush Pens grey scale
DUAL Brush Pens are fantastic, right out of the packaging. They spread an even amount of ink, with their precision tips. I really like the complete grey scale. They are just right for designing compositions. Shadows, highlights all available with the wide range of greys from darkest to lightest.

They're okay
These markers were okay, maybe it's the fact that they're water-based that I don't care for them that much. I bought them to add quick gray-tones to my sketches, but they pill up the paper very quick in my sketchbook. I thought maybe it was the paper, so I also tried a marker sketchbook. They don't pill as much with marker paper, but then they don't absorb quickly either, which can lead to even more streaky lines. I didn't expect them to work as well as my alcohol markers in the first place, but they are just slightly disappointing. As long as you follow the explanation in the packaging they come with, they actually are blendable despite being water-based, which I was surprised. The pilling effect sort of deters me from doing this, however. I didn't intend to use them for that anyway, so it's not that big of a deal to me.I do like the lighter colors, as they don't seem as overpowering as the dark. I also like the fine tipped side, which I didn't expect to use much. Over all, they're fine if it's not serious art. They're not my favorite, but I will use them if I'm just doing something quick.

Seller is amazing
One of the best markers for your creative projects that comes in the brush tip and a fine tip. It's literally like getting two high-quality markers in one.

Good value for urban sketchers.
Includes the blacks and grays recommended by Ian Fennelly plus some extra shades of gray including warm and cool colors. Tested on Arches 300 gm hot press watercolor paper. Should also work on multimedia paper, if you can find it that thick.
