They're MosFets, they're 'P' channel :-)
Well up to the job, and I have used them in a variety of projects to control meaty DC loads from a microcontroller GPIO.Previously I've used 'N' channel devices in that as a 'low-side' switch with the load referenced to the positive supply, which is a bit easier because you can connect the gate straight to the logic output. Sometimes however you need to have a ground referenced load which is where the 'P' channel devices come into their own. The only slight drawback is that if your supply rail exceeds that of the microcontroller you have to use a secondary drive transistor to pull the gate down - but that needn't cost you more than a few pence (see photo). The transistor can be almost any generic NPN (e.g. pn2222).

Ok
Ça marche. Y aurait-il un doute ? No there is not.
