Works as advertised, no more lighter fluid

These work fantastic for fire place starter. Easily place between the logs, light and it back and enjoy a quick fire. These start a nice flame 99.999% of the time. Highly recommend.

I always have these available Incase I can't find any small dry twigs or shavings to get me started. These are so easy to use, don't take up much space when camping/packing, and are very effective. Impressive how slowly they burn.

The product does what it says. Works well with my charcoal chimney starter. Haven't decided if this is better than the Weber Lighter Cubes, which are slightly less expensive per use. But the cardboard box is not sturdy enough to ship via Amazon, especially in their 'soft' bags. Mine was crushed. I accepted the shipment as the fire starters seemed to be fine. I have placed the fire starters in a gal zip lock back. Protects against moisture better that way anyway. I have only used a couple of times thus far, but I am leaning towards going back to the Weber Cubes.

These wood fire starters are a nifty eco-friendly way to light charcoal briquets without resorting to liquid flammables or electric starters. They light easily with one match and burn hot and cleanly on the grate of my Weber kettle using a Kingsford vertical starter unit with holes on the bottom and a heat-insulated handle using convection from the heat of the starter to be drawn up through the charcoal towards the open top. In my experience I can ignite around sixty pieces of charcoal with a single wood starter. One bag of starters seems to last forever. I am extremely happy with my purchase from Amazon and am glad I found a source for them online.
