Nice portable is oscilloscope
Looked at many different options for an automotive lab scope. Decided on the tbook mini for a couple reasons.I use a o scope for electronic projects, occasionally for work and to probe for automotive repairs. I seem to have a mix of needs and felt that the truly automotive type lab scopes were not going to fill all of my needs. The tbook mini fits well into all of my needs. The scope quickly logged into my network and I checked for software updates with no issues, I was able to connect my iPhone to the tbook mini with full control. I did have some issues with the connection parameters but quickly found the IP address to type into the iPhone app. This feature works for me during automotive repairs, I can set up the scope and take measurements from inside the car or close to the sensor while viewing the results and making changes from the iPhone. The remote control is actually pretty impressive. IP address that worked for me was 192.168.1.264Micsig customer support is really good and as far as I am concerned too if the line. I did contact Micsig with a question on software upgrades and was pleasantly surprised to get a quick answer to my question.I could not be happier with the performance of this scope, granted my needs are not demanding but compared to the slightly lesser cost pocket automotive type scopes if feel the tbook mini provides bench scope features when I need them while maintaining the portable automotive uses.

Very pleased with my Micsig 1104 scope
I was in the market for a four channel scope and was torn between the Micsig TO1104 (tBook mini) and a couple other four channel scopes that had actual knobs. Ultimately a review about the scope on the EEVblog was the deciding factor. This is an excellent review of the scope.I received my Micsig 1104 and have been familiarizing myself with its operation. I don't miss having knobs. The Micsig is easy and intuitive to use and it has a convenient built-in user guide available from the home screen. The display is big and bright. The display is a bit larger and has higher resolution than some other scopes I was considering. The Micsig was about $100 more but I felt that it was worth it. The scope has some functions that I've never had available to me before and it will have a learning curve associated with themThe battery operation and portability of the scope is a huge plus particularly for troubleshooting automobile electronic control systems to isolate failed components and sensors, etc.I did run into one odd inconsistency in the time base control 1-2-5 sequence. In the mS range it goes 1-2-4 instead of 1-2-5. Everywhere else it does follow the normal 1-2-5 sequence. I think perhaps a firmware update can correct this.All-in-all I'm pleased with the scope and satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommended.I want to add that I finally got round to putting the screen protector on my scope. This makes a huge difference in the screen reflectivity. Without the screen the screen is very reflective with it because the screen protector has a very fine and smooth matte finish it almost totally eliminates reflections. It also helps to cut down on fingerprints on the screen abd it feels nicer than the naked screen.

Works well for DIY mechanics
I went to school, and learned how to use oscilloscopes. Compared to the ones at school it's not as fancy, or as easy to use, but it works really well, and I like this product. Battery lasts a while too, and I like how you can record videos as well as take pictures so you can explain what's going on to the customer.

Love this Oscilloscope
This touch screen oscilloscope, is very easy to use. It’s like using an iPad. The user guide, which illustrates how to operate the scope, is accessible from the touch screen. This is a full featured oscilloscope that can store image data, in either a screen capture PNG format, or in a refwave format for adding back to the screen for comparison with other refwaves or the current inputs. Image files can be moved to a Mac or PC via either a wired or wireless internet connection, using FTP transfer. You can also transfer image files, to a Mac or PC, using a USB to USB port connection, or with an USB flash drive. If you’re looking for a full featured, portable, easy to use, four channel oscilloscope, I don’t see how you can beat this one, for the price. For directions on how to setup FTP access, so you can transfer image files to your Mac or PC, visit micsig.com, and look for Downloads: "How to use FTP to access the oscilloscope file at PC"
