Maintaining a pool can sometimes feel overwhelming, but this chlorine stabilizer from Clorox has made the job much easier for me. The product does exactly what it claims. It helps chlorine last longer which means I am not constantly adding tablets or shocking the water as often. Once mixed in, it keeps the water balanced for weeks and I have noticed a real difference in how steady my chlorine levels stay. One thing I appreciate is how straightforward it is to use. The instructions are clear and the granules dissolve well when added slowly to warm water before pouring into the skimmer. It does take a little patience because stabilizer is not instant, but once it is in the water and circulated properly, it delivers consistent results. Compared to other brands I have tried, this stabilizer seems more effective at maintaining chlorine levels even during hot summer weeks when the sun usually burns chlorine away quickly. I also feel like I am saving money on chlorine products because they are lasting much longer. Pros: reliable performance, clear directions, noticeable improvement in chlorine efficiency, and trusted Clorox quality. Cons: it can take a full day or two for the stabilizer to fully dissolve so you need to plan ahead but that is expected with any stabilizer. Overall this is a must have for pool owners who want less hassle and clearer water. It has become part of my regular pool maintenance routine and I highly recommend it.

I have a 36,000 gallon pool and need about 8-10lbs of stabilizer a year. I used to buy it from my local pool store because I like to give them the business so they stay in business. Finally though, decided to buy it online because it’s about half the cost. The only complaint I have is that it takes so long to dissolve (seems to be all brands). What I do is put about 3 lbs in a knee high stocking, tie the end and hang it in front of a return jet. After about 3 hours, it softens up and you can squeeze the stocking (keeping it in front of the jet) and it readily dissolves.

Works well for my pool. Easy to use, just follow the instructions on the bag. Keeps my chlorine working well and helps it last longer. Good for painting my pool. I would recommend it.

I copied and pasted this review since I couldn't comment on it. I read this review annd had to dump water like he stated. He saved my butt! I could not figure out why my pH would not rise when adding way way to much pH up than in years past. Did the water dump, added fresh water....my pH and chlorine levels are back to normal! Thank you George H. Customer Review George H. 5.0 out of 5 stars Effective, but caution about use Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2021 Verified Purchase The product is effective at helping free chorine from burning off as fast, but be careful with this product, as it can only effectively be lowered by replacing water (draining/refilling) in the pool. Know the total capacity of your pool, including water in the plumbing, and calculate and measure out the amount you need for no more than 30 ppm. Higher amounts will require you to use more chlorine to sanitize your pool, and concentrations approaching 100 ppm are generally considered unsanitary, as it would block chlorine from doing its job or you'd have to use so much chlorine that you'd have no effective way to measure and maintain pH. If it gets that high, you'll have to drain some water and refill the pool to dilute it. If you use trichlor tablets or dichlor powder to chlorinate your pool, you do not need to add this product at all despite what anyone or any app tells you. Those products already have stabilizers built-in and will slowly add them to your pool along with their chlorine as they dissolve. 24 people found this helpful Helpful Report Permalink
