Yes, buy them you will not be disappointed
I have a friend that ordered these, and I was surprised of how well they work. So I ordered two of them and they were wonderful.

Finally no more unplugging the night lights!!!
We desperately needed this. Our son sleeps in our bed so whenever one of us decides to go to sleep we can't turn on the lights in the room. But we obviously need some light to get in there without making too much noise - especially if he wakes up before we come to sleep & we need to go comfort him or something.I'm SUPER sensitive to light - I had to put electrical tape over the cable box because the little green lights on it were driving me mad at night. Any night light was constantly being unplugged each time I would come to sleep, which of course resulted in one of us bumping into something the next night (usually while attempting to plug it back in the pitch dark). This does not obstruct the lower outlet - another great feature - and it will turn on if approached from an angle. It's located on the wall by the bedroom door, but that wall is angled (our bedroom has 5 walls, a square with a corner cut out basically - and this is on the angled wall - it goes off just fine when I walk through the bedroom door at about a 45° angle from it). If the overhead lights are on this does not turn on at all. It will however turn on during the day if the overheads aren't on - but that's probably b/c our bedroom does not get much natural light & this across the room from the only set of windows (sliding doors actually). The motion sensor is not overly sensitive. This is located about 4-5ft away from the foot of our bed on my side. If I move a bit (to reposition or something) it won't go off. It will go off if one of our dogs decides to relocate though (yes, our bed is very very full at night...2 dogs, 2 adults & a toddler). I usually have to wave my foot in the air once or twice to trigger it, which is good since we don't want it going off every 5 minutes as I'm a bit of an active sleeper. If you're looking for a very bright light - this is probably not for you. The light is pretty dim - you couldn't read anything by it or locate your keys in your purse probably, but it's enough to basically see what's in front of you & make your way around a room. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being brightest) I'd say this is a 2-3. So if you want an average night light brightness that just doesn't stay on all the time I highly recommend this night light!

Great so far
Previously I had a Mr Beams MB 722 which is battery operated unlike this which is plugin. My Mr. Beams flaked out after 9 months to where it turned off during the day time like it is supposed to but began staying on all night long rather than on and off with motion as it is designed to do. I finally had enough and pitched the MB 722 for the AmerTac.First off, it may be my tan walls in the bathroom where this sits, but the unit looks more pink that nickle. At first I didn't notice it coming out of the package but this morning I actually thought I bought a pink hued version which turns out isn't even offered. It's not big deal because it's only faintly pink looking not like solid pink.I was happy to report that this unit puts out more light than the MB 722 it replaces yet it's more diffuse or softer than the light the MB 722 put out. This is actually a great plus because I was always disappointed with the amount of light put out by the MB 722. With the AmerTac, it seems like more of my bathroom is getting light but it isn't so super bright that it blind you or wakes up my wife since our master is separated from the bedroom by a pocket door. It's great that I can open the pocket door and have the AmerTac kick on for either of us to use the toilet or get a drink without waking the other. We don't even need to close the door the light is soft enough. The only downside I see compared to the MB 722 is that the motion detection range doesn't seem to be as far as the MB 722. With the Mr. Beams, as soon as the pocket door was half slid open it'd kick on (when it was new and worked right). I have to take a step into the bathroom before the AmerTac turns on yet they are in almost the same identical location. It's not a big deal and in no way substantially detracts from the positives it does have when compared to the MB 722.But, the shorter detection distance is why i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. So this 4 star rating is derived from a direct comparison with the MB 722 I had. The AmerTac may have better detection than every other competitor other than the Mr. Beams warranting a 5 star vote if this was your review. I can't stress enough how much better the lighting is for my purposes versus the Mr. Beams MB 722. Now, will this unit last longer than my MB 722? I sure hope so.On a side now, I do wish this had battery backup should the power go out. A couple of AA batteries or a 9-volt would be perfect. It'd be a nice feature and even worth $5-$10 more in my opinion. Since we have flashlights in the bedroom, it's not that big of a deal but it would be a nice feature if it was added.
