Works perfectly looks lovely
Very good product, boil time was a little slow. The whistle didn’t actually whistle but you do know when it’s boiling. Nice heavily weighted kettle.

Fantastic Quality
Yes, expensive, but worth it. The first thing you notice is how big it is. It's substantially larger than any other 2L kettle I have seen. I think what this basically means is that you don't fill it so full as others. Greater margin of safety to ensure it won't overflow. The quality is very high. Thick enamelled steel (not painted) with an anodised aluminium handle. The grip is of course plastic for heat insulation but matches the colour of the rest of the handle perfectly. You do need to remove the lid to fill, the spout is a little small for that. The upside is the spout is much more controlled when you pour. The lid is a little tight at first but loosens up. It's great! Recommended

Really happy with the stainless steel kettle
Okay, this review is for THE STAINLESS STEEL MODEL ONLY - the coloured models appear to be very different. So with that in mind, let's talk about this bad boy. These kettles have got a lot of bad reviews over the years, but so far I'm delighted with mine, and I'd like to clear some things up. - *Yes*, the stainless steel model is stainless steel on the inside. There is no black enamel lining to crack and allow rust through. I've been using this for three weeks now and it's still spotless inside, though I'd expect to have to descale it at some point. - It *doesn't* overheat around the spout and spit water. I can see this happening if you let it boil and boil - please don't do that. Take it off the heat as soon as it has a steady whistle going. (The whistle is really super loud, by the way) I do get a few little drips around the outside of the lid when it's boiling, but they don't actually spit. - *No*, I haven't had any trouble opening up the whistle. It has a solid plastic flick switch that you bring down to open the spout. It's never been hot or e.g. released steam backwards onto my fingers. - It is *not* particularly heavy - it's actually very light, even to lift one-handed with water. I'm a tiny little woman and I feel the weight if I pour it one-handed, but not to an uncomfortable level. I should say my model has a "max level" indicator on the outside (it really should be on the inside, Le Creuset...), which may not have been present on earlier models - I think many of these issues may be down to overfilling. I am very happy with this kettle and wish I'd bought it ten years ago, instead of waiting for my electric kettle to die. It's big and chonky and looks fantastic in my kitchen. Another thing I like is that the handles on the lid and the kettle are attached with good, solid screws, so if they come loose you can just tighten them up again. The only thing I see causing problems if it ever fails is the whistle itself, and you don't really *need* a whistle. Oh, also, yes, I put it on the boost setting on my induction hob, lol, even though the manual says you shouldn't. It's perfectly happy as long as I switch it right off when the water boils, and it takes 400ml of water for tea to a full boil in 40 seconds, which is much faster than my old electric kettle. Your hobs may differ! - please be careful out there. edit - a month on I'm still very happy with this kettle. I have had it build up pressure so that water escapes from the spout if I don't take it off the heat right away - however (and I'm embarrassed to have to explain this to a class of, presumably, adults) *please don't point boiling kettles at your face or anybody else's*. Point the pressurised pot of boiling water *away* from living things. Thank you. I have had an issue where the lid became tighter over time, to the point I really struggled to open and close it. However, the lid comes completely apart. Another review mentions you can do this to drain water from it or clean it, but you can also hammer down (or out) the little bumps in the edge plate to adjust the fitting of the lid. Everything about my kettle is splendid now and we continue to get on very well.

Not worth it...
Disappointing. I've wanted a Le Creuset kettle for some time and purchased one in the sale. However, I have to say I was letdown by the overall quality. The kettle itself was nice and heavy, it felt solid and it looked great - I went for the traditional Orange Volcanic colour. But - when I took the kettle from its packaging the instructions advised to remove all labels. There were 2 paper labels on the front of the kettle - one being the Le Creuset label and the other being a maximum water height marker. These didn't just peel off and left a horrible sticky residue. Then in terms of the actual kettle function - the lid was defective and didn't quite sit flush with the top of the kettle so despite being a tight fit there was a gap allowing for a lot of steam to be released through the lid which then meant there was not enough steam for the whistle to work properly. Yes, I bought it in the sale but it DID still cost £82.50 and my personal opinion is this does not represent value for money and certainly didn't live up to the usual reputation of quality goods from Le Creuset. I have now returned the kettle and opted for a full refund as I think I can get a better functioning kettle at a fraction of the cost.

Lovely stove-top kettle. Whistle is a little weedy
This is a lovely kettle, ideal for a range-style stove or Aga. As ever with Le Creuset, it is well presented, looks gorgeous and is well made. My only slight quibble is that the whistle is a little weedy, but aside from that it is fun to make tea the old-fashioned way, rather than just use an electric kettle. A fine addition to our kitchen, that we enjoy using.

Excellent woodburning stove kettle
Perfect to heat water on the top of my woodburning stove. I wanted a good quality stove top kettle and this fits the bill perfectly. I love the colour and we have used it 5-6 times a day for the last month and it is great.

Good heavyweight kettle
This kettle does what it says on the box. It boils water! We use it on an induction hob and note that the instructions say do not use the heat boost so we don’t. It looks smart and boils quickly.

Beautiful, heavy kettle. Sadly dropped it on my tile floor and it chipped inside and out. It’s a lovely plant pot now.

Handle can get hot, whistle works well no other issues. I don't think the handle should get hot for the price.

Det är jätte fin vattenkokare, men lite för stor i min köket. Synd… Jag har returnerat den, inga problem att skickat tillbaka!
