Fabulous natural deodorant
I love this product. Iโve tried various natural deodorants in the past that were too sticky, didnโt work, and I didnโt like. Iโve purchased this one numerous times. It works great, smell is natural, and itโs not sticky. Some reviews complain about the cardboard packaging. Itโs so hard to find items NOT in plastic. Target used to carry the deodorant in cardboard but got rid of it years ago. So, I started buying it via amazon. It may not be perfect but I donโt find it too bad and I really appreciate having one less thing in plastic, which means less plastic getting into my body and less plastic lingering on the planet forever!! I hope Native continues with the cardboard packaging!!

Works for me
Only product I can use with the biologics I'm on that has changed my body chemistry. Most of the deodorants I've tried will not work anymore. This one does for me. I've also have had a difficult time finding 'Unscented' in any of the stores around me. The cardboard packaging is OK, but when you get to the very end of the deodorant, it falls out! And there is still quite a bit left to use. I find this a waste. Than trying to hold it while applying to your underarms is most annoying as it's slippery and messy. Hard to get a grip on it! I'm not cheap, (frugal yes), but neither is this deodorant cheap. I'd like to be able to use what I've paid for. Update: The unscented stopped working for some reason so I decided to try the Coconut Vanilla and it is perfect. Works great all day and the smell is mellow.

Finally! A deodorant that works!
I finally found a deodorant that works! Bonus is, it doesn't have an overwhelming fragrance; the fragrance is very slight and pleasant. Best deodorant I've ever used! I gave this 4 stars because of the packaging. I love the idea of plastic free, however, this particular tube had an issue. The top of the cardboard tube is "rough", so the top won't slide back on. (A bit annoying, but I just put the whole thing inside a container to keep it from drying out.) My friend who recommended it doesn't have this issue, so hopefully it's just a one time issue?

Avoid! Avoid! Danger Will Robinson.
I have used the Native brand for a number of years without a problem. The product itself is great. However, I mistakenly purchased a left-wing, liberal, "plastic-free," model instead of the regular one that actually works. I cannot adequately rate the product itself as I can't use it. The paper packaging is one for the top 10 list of worst product failures... akin to New Coke, Betamax cassette players, and the so-called Space Shuttle Challenger. I cannot for the life of my figure out how to use the product. The instructions state to "push up from the bottom" and the product will slowly present itself. Let me tell you, I had flashbacks of the 50 cent push-up pops that the Good Humor Man would peddle up and down the streets with the terrible song being played over and over from back in the mid 1980s. And like the freshly frozen ice cream treat, you could push all you could but the product wouldn't come out of the toilet paper ring until you warmed the thing between your legs for a spell. Same for this product. Unless you are a body builder I don't know how one could prevent axillary odoriferous emanations from occurring because you need a jack hammer to move the product up. I am certain the meaningful "eco-friendly" team at Native had good intentions in creating this product. However, they should have consulted any middle-aged Gen X-er with arthritis and lack of patience with Millennial "save the planet" ideologies before marketing plastic free deodorants. Unless you have a thumb wrestler in your house or have access to one of those heavy duty machines that breaks apart cement, you are not going to get the actual product to come out of the cousin of its orange sherbet's paper coffin. My thumbs hurt so badly now where I am typing this review with my index fingers only in hopes that my arthritic thumbs will be loosening my tomorrow morning. Native- please consult with Gen Xers into the future for product R&D.

Container collapse
This is the best deodorant I've ever used, the product itself. No irritation, smells mild and pleasant. Keeps odor away for more than one day if your camping. Big problem why I gave it a 3 is..the container is cardboard and part of it feel off and the container part you hold collapsed from just the pressure of holding it while applying. Its crushed together making it very difficult to use. I'm still trying since it's a great deodorant, but whoever decided on cardboard, needs their squash examined for defects. Please put the charcoal in plastic. It's better than the other scented versions.

Excellent and Eco-Friendly
This deodorant is perfect. I never thought Iโd call a deodorant luxurious but this one is. Most deodorants, eco-friendly or not, are chalky, sticky, powdery, or grainy. This one is nothing like any deodorant Iโve tried before. Itโs smooth and just glides on, it doesnโt leave any feeling that Iโm wearing deodorant and it doesnโt irritate my under arm. I got the charcoal scent and while the deodorant is a shade of grey, it doesnโt transfer color at all onto my white shirts nor does it leave deodorant stains on my bras. The scent itself is fresh and clean, is strong when you first apply it but not over powering throughout the day. It does also reduce perspiration, Iโve definitely noticed a difference between this brand and my last deodorant, Dr. Tealโs. The cardboard tube works perfectly, Iโve got no problem opening or closing it. The deodorant inside canโt retract, but if you tap the bottom on the counter itโll fall back into the main tube. All of these benefits are well worth the cost to me, especially considering that this bar will last me an entire month.

Packaging warning
This is the safest, the most natural but effective deodorant that I know of. However, I have one dislike and that is the new packaging! The material used looks like cardboard and it frays around the edges that are inserted into the outer cover and you will experience failure to close with ease due to the fraying at some point in time. Also you cannot meter the amount of of deorderant easily. I personally have used the product for approximately 10 and am sold on it. I will not knowingly purchase thi product in the future if they keep this new packaging.

Sustainable, fragrance free option, sufficient for not-so-sweaty people
As a person who prefers fragrance free body care, the Native deodorant represents a good option that's also sustainable and (slightly more) natural. Personally I don't like any of the scented options of Native, maybe the Coconut Vanilla is tolerable. The scents are too strong, but I know that others like that. I want my body care to smell of nothing at all; if I want to smell good, I'll use a fragrance afterwards. The fragrance free Native deodorant helps me smell of nothing... just clean. It's not the most efficient deodorant (not even from the more natural options), but I'm not also the most sweaty or stinky person. Most time of the year the Native deodorant is just enough; and if I hike for a day in the hot summer... there will be more stinky and sweaty things than my arm pits. The selling point for me with native is the plastic free packaging, since I try to be less wasteful and more sustainable in my daily life. Don't be fooled by the cardboard packaging. Yes, in time it gets slightly oily and you can see in the picture that after a couple of months the cardboard looks yellow... but it's perfectly functional and won't disintegrate before you use up the deodorant. I have sensitive skin and the Native deodorant fragrance free doesn't irritate my armpits even after shaving. Usually from the regular deodorants / antiperspirant with aluminum my armpits get slightly darkened, with Native I have no issue. The deodorant is creamy and glides easily. It stains the clothes, but I have a solution for that. I apply the deodorant at night and it the morning I wipe any excess.

IT'S AMAZING, HOWEVER..
It's literally AMAZING! Lasts all day even when I don't touch up, after a really long and sweaty day. It's the best for anyone having issues with strong sweat. However the container sucks lmao. Pleeeeease get the one in plastic. 30โฌ and the product is paper and not practical at all. It doesn't allow you to roll out and roll in. I basically have to use my fingers to push it out and back in. It would have been 5 stars. It does stain clothes but just a little scrubbing with some soap before throwing it in the washing machine gets it all off.

Stay away from thr charcoal variation. It stains everything.
Native is a good deo stick. I wanted to try more than one variety, and i can say that after using the charcoal, all my white tops undergarments got stained with black sandy grainy pattern and it didn't wash off. I had to throw them and replace them. If you're using this with any light color whether it's a top or an undergarment, it WILL stain it.

Solution for- trouble with opening
So before I bought this product I read a lot of reviews about how everyone loves this but have trouble opening it. I still decided to try it. It got delivered today. .. I see EXACTLY what they are talking about. But there's a simple solution. .. just cut two tiny wedges in the lid like I did in the pic. One in each side. And it will open smoothly. I mean ideally the company should just make that change in their packaging. That will be easier.

Great product. Horrible packaging.
Iโve always loved this deodorant but the new packaging is horrible! Bring back the old model it was so much easier to use and apply.
