Fine weight yarn
This is a beautiful shiny bamboo silk blend. The colors are vivid and the yarn is well captured in the photos posted in the store, especially the blow out of the 6-ply strands of the yarn. When I ordered the yarn, I looked at the needle gauge and somehow assumed that I was seeing the crochet hook range. So far I prefer using a 3.0 or 3.5 mm hook with this yarn, which puts it in the weight 2 category, rather than DK which is what I had originally intended to purchase. Working in a finer gauge is hardly a complaint. If you really must, it is alright with a 4.0 mm crochet hook, but the stitches have a non opaque structure regardless of stitch used. The yarn is soft yet very resistant to fray. It will untwine which is a challenge if you are a complete beginner, but it is actually a great yarn to use if you are working on your first project at a finer yarn gauge. It is not the yarn to use in your very first project. (If you are a complete beginner, I would recommend a worsted weight yarn or higher - weight 4 and doing an amigurumi project for crochet.). Otherwise, the qualities of the fiber blend (easy care, soft, bright colors), as well as the relative pricing are a lot to love. I will hug the Monkey Plush friend if I ever have the good fortune to meet one in person.

Beautiful yarn
Beautiful yarn, true to color pictured. Soft, glides on the hook, nice stitch definition. Will feel nice to wear in the warm weather. Wish I could buy it in smaller lot, though.

Soft and Workable
Loving this yarn. It's a fingering weight. I don't feel like that was clear in the listing. But its great yarn. Great color and texture. I'm knitting a sheer tank dress with it and it's been an amazing experience. Edit: I took off one start because, after getting through about 5 skeins, I noticed most of them have a knot in the middle. Nothing worse than knitting a one-skein project and having extra ends to weave in because there was a knot. I would probably still buy this yarn again for it's texture. But I'd probably cake the skeins first to see if there are any breaks.

Beautiful Bamboo Yarn
I have read the reviews of which there are a number complaining about the yarn splitting. That is par for the course when it comes to using bamboo yarn - all bamboo yarn I have ever used splits. I've tried several different brands, and they are all the same. It's just something you get used to when you use bamboo yarn. Another complaint is that it is thinner than described, and I would agree with that although that has not personally been an issue for me with my first project. I will simply adjust my patterns accordingly when working with it in the future. In regards to the final complaint of pilling, I personally have not experienced that yet as I am still working on my project and have not washed it; but I will keep it in mind and use this yarn for projects where a little "fuzz" doesn't matter. For me, I love this yarn - the softness, the drape, the colors - it is all beautiful and a wonderful price for the quantity! I can't wait to buy more of the colors for future projects!! My only potential caveat to this yarn is that I don't know how the color holds up after washing. The answer to that is my only uncertainty. Otherwise, I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone willing to put up with the splitting issues which one has to deal with when working with any bamboo. I will be buying more!

The Perfect Grey Yarn
Storm is the perfect grey knitting yarn! I have been looking for this color in a superfine fingering yarn for many years. It is not a beginnerโs yarn as it splits easily, but once you get the hang of it, itโs no problem. I love this yarn. It is so soft and knits beautifully.

Fuzzing like low grade acrylic
At first I thought I was going to love this yarn because it is so soft. I've knit and crocheted with other bamboo yarns before so I knew to expect that it might not be the easiest to work with, but I wanted the drape that bamboo provides. Like other bamboo fibers I've used, this has a tendency to split. It is slippery and extra care must be used to ensure stitches don't get dropped because if they do, rows can unravel quickly. This yarn offered nice stitch definition for the intricate pattern that I'm working on. However, I can't recommend it and I fear I'm going to have to rip my progress and start over with a different yarn because this is fuzzing so badly. The lovely stitch definition in the twisted knit ribbing and cables is being lost with the heavy fluff that is starting to cover my work. The amount of yarn for the cost would have been an incredible value is it weren't for this fuzzing. I've never had a bamboo or cotton yarn fuzz like this, making me question the fabric content. It behaves more like a bamboo acrylic blend.

Not quite lace weight and not quite sport weight
I really like this yarn. I donโt find it to be splitting as some other people have said the color is vibrant and it works up very soft. Itโs not quite sport weight and itโs not quite lace weight, it kind of falls in between so if you are using a pattern that calls for sport weight, you might have to adjust it accordingly. I personally, donโt feel that is a problem. The price is great and I believe the quality is great as well.

Not yarn more like thread
Beautiful color but this is not yarn it is more like thread on the heavier side. It will definitely work in my sewing machine. I bought this because it recommended a 6mm crochet hook. I need a bulky weight yarn for a blanket that I am going to make that calls for a bulky yarn as the background yarn to work with a Pom-pom yarn as the for ground. I guess I will have to keep looking. I will keep this and find something else to make with it. With the 10 skeins I only got 2 cakes of yarn out of it with no waste. Not very happy. I still love the color but color is not everything.

Soft yarn
It is soft yarn, thread is smaller than the look in the picture, suitable using hook 3 mm. During my work, thread tend to split (separate) if not hook properly, May not be suitable for beginners.

Lovely yarn
This yarn has a lovely light, soft feel to it. It does have a slight tendency to split but that is easily managed while crocheting. It is a pleasure to work with.

Value for money
The yarn is very beautiful, soft and smooth. Suitable for knitting summer wears. However, yarn is thin and slippery on the needles, so will not recommend for beginner knitters
