I first had this when friends brought it back from Rwanda, and had to rely on their annual trips to get my hands on it. So I was thrilled to see I was able to get it in the US! It is without question the best chili oil (or hot sauce) I have ever had, and everyone I give it to loves it. It’s spicy, but incredibly flavorful. No other spicy condiment comes close. He has a penchant for spicy flavors and he uses this oil in almost every meal. It brings significant heat with a delicious earthy flavor. We originally found the chili oil at a local fish monger on the East Coast, and when we moved to CA, we were happy to find it on Amazon. The vendor sent our order quickly and the bottles were well-wrapped for shipping.

Not a bad product but I would not buy it again

A couple of drops will do just fine with Akabanga Extra Hot Chilli Sauce. The heat is good and the flavor is very nice. This chilli sauce is potent. My only wish is that it was easier to open. I had to trim the punch hole in order to puncture the plastic covering. Remember to use a drop and sample until you find the flavor and heat that appeals to you. Great product.

I got this for my husband as a gift. He loves it, but maybe too much. He calls it African Poop Sauce. Next time he needs a colonoscopy I’m going to skip the prescription laxative and go for this. It has made Christmas...interesting. Despite the issues, 5 star rating.

This is not terribly hot. I added 2 drops to a bowl of noodles and I probably could have added 2 more and still have been very comfortable with it. The heat is warm and cozy as opposed to the painful searing heat you get from a lot of peppers or chillies. It's really really good.

The product had a major design flaw. Somehow the contents weren't contained well enough to stay in the little plastic container. I recommend you look for a better packaged product.. who needs a hot oil covered object in their pantry..

The advertising for this product got me. It was a good ad, saying something like, "Sriracha is not the only hot sauce worthy of a cult following." I bought it. $7 for about an ounce of flavored oil. Honestly, I don't like the overall flavor. It has some heat, but the oily aftertaste was not enjoyable. I was looking for something to put in my wife's purse so I could have a decent hot sauce when we go somewhere low-end like a chinese buffet because sriracha has way too much garlic and I like more heat. This tiny bottle could have been good, but, 1. it was leaking when I received it so to put it in her purse would have been a problem; I would have had to put it in a plastic bag and it would be a mess since it leaked a little, 2. it lacks the heat I want, 3. bad flavor. I am lucky my wife is accomodating to my hot sauce snobbery and she will continue to let me put the little El Yucateco XXX Hot Habanero sauce in her purse until I find something else.
