This antenna is awesome. I live it Texas and talk over the US, Canada, Hawaii and West Indies on it. I have it overpowered however it has not affected it at all. This is one hell of a antenna. I was going to change it out with an A99 amtron but it works so well I am going to leave it up for sure till it is fried.

Why pay more for an antenna? This is a 5/8 wave antenna with a reasonable amount of gain. The sections go together with threaded inserts, not just one piece sticking into another and held in place with a sheet metal screw, like many other more expensive antennas do. It is well built, sturdy and easy to assemble. Your radio is looking for a 50 ohm match, not how much you paid for the antenna or the brand name! This antenna provides a perfect match, looks good and it's performance is excellent in both receive and transmit.

Nice sturdy product, you will need a mast pole or roof mount with other supports to make it work

What a Great Antenna very low Standing wave.

Bought two of these. Put one on the stand and when I tested it, the distance of transmit & receive was lousy. After getting new RG cable still no improvement…. I checked the cable for a short…. None there. Ultimately the antenna was shorted to ground. Took it apart and found the internal coil was soldered to ground…… Fixed that and now works perfect. The second one was perfect and functions nicely. Glad I opened the bad one first since the second was a gift to someone else…..

so far I am surprised how strong it is. I mounted it onto an old satilite dish mount and is perfect. I am picking up cb radio from the other side of the country.

Nice antenna for CB (11 Meters) or Amateur Radio (10 Meters) I replaced a fiberglass Siro antenna that fell apart. I can tell already that this aluminum antenna will last a long time. It came with mounting U bolts an what appears to be stainless hardware. If used for 10 Meters, you would need to shorten it.

This is antenna is nicely built. Well constructed aluminum pieces that fit nicely together. Each section is 40 inches long. Cut the last section to 19 inches and the 10m ham band opened up. SWR is about 1:1 to about 1:8 through the entire 10m band. Nice antenna and the price is nice too !

Replaced an old weather beaten Solarcon that snapped in a windstorm with this antenna. The guys I talk to on the CB are all telling my I'm coming in much better than before and I've definitely seen an improvement in receive. Very happy with the purchase!

The antenna is pretty good honestly!

Works great. Only issue was one of the small screws that help hold it together didn’t line up with the hole. Other than that, it works great. Very low SWR. No modifications needed.

CB antenna BUT can easily be made to work on 10 meters. I didn't wanna cut the top off, so I went to the hardware store and got a cheap piece of pipe. The original top section is 40 inches. Replace it with a 19 inches and you got the whole 10 meter band. 1.5 swr at 28.000 to 1.6 swr at 29.690. Flat 1/1 from 28.8 to 29.3. I can see wind and time damaging the antenna but it should last this solar cycle. It's worth $160 Canadian... 73..
