The ULANZI H28 is the tiny but mighty sidekick I never knew I needed. I had one of the portable lights with a tripod. When the light got knocked over it broke most of the plastic mounting mechanism. Luckily, I had a spare phone camera mount that worked perfectly for the light, but I had no way to adjust the angle. I bought this little camera head and it worked well for my application.It is very inexpensive and lightweight but has a quality feel to it. It fits a standard 1/4" mounting bolt. It uses pressure screws to hold the head at the desired angle. The head can be rotated to any angle, and tilted as desired to nearly 180 degrees. It works well with small lights, mobile phones, and small cameras but I wouldn't recommend it for heavier cameras.It includes a hot-shoe mount for an external microphone but I have no use for that since I am not using it with a camera.The pressure screws seem to hold the head securely in the desired position. However, I wouldn't recommend it for serious photography.

They're compact, easy to use. Good for small items. I would not trust them for use with cameras or heavier things.

This is a well priced small, easy to use and adjust tripod head. It's pan motion is seriously smoothe. I have several of these for different applications, but they're versatile enough to be used for mounting to a desk as well as just about any other 3/8" thread - motorized track, etc. The ball head is highly adjustable as well. A very useful piece of kit!The base is metal while the tightening screws and ball head top are plastic. The top of the ball head is rubberized and knurled for traction on cameras. Note, I've had these things hit salt water and it didn't touch the bearings. So durability for these mini ball heads is quite the understatement.

I bought this to go on top of my Monopod which doubles as a hiking staff. It works great, and I always have some additional support available for my camera shots.

Excellent and sturdy

I’ve purchased many Ulanzi mini ballheads and this is a great addition. I wanted something that had a separate pan knob, and was pleasantly surprised that this one seems to have some fluid in it. Other options I own have really basic clamping knobs, so this is so much better. I also really like that all my Ulanzi ballheads are greaseless - making it easy work to clean them in the field, and a non-issue when throwing it in my EDC bag.
