Impressive Punch for a Slim Sub – Perfect for Truck Owners!
I recently installed the Rockville RW10CA in my 2013 GMC Sierra, and I am genuinely impressed. For a budget-friendly, "all-in-one" powered sub, it packs a serious punch. The build quality is solid, and its slim profile made it incredibly easy to fit under the seat without sacrificing any legroom. Once I dialed in the settings on my Kenwood head unit (using an 80Hz LPF), the bass became crisp, tight, and filled the cabin perfectly. It doesn't just make noise; it actually adds that deep, musical "thump" that factory speakers lack. If you're looking for an affordable way to upgrade your truck's audio without a massive custom box, this is it. Great value and surprisingly high performance!

Just what I needed to complete the bottom end sound of my system
First off, don’t let the size and cabinet depth put you off from this unit. This is a nice 10” sub, the fact that the cabinet is so compact also made me a little hesitant to order. My fears were quickly dispelled when I got this installed. I put it in a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. I ran all the wiring from the head unit to the back of the double cab, it fit nicely and I was able to hide all the wiring in the existing cable runs on the interior bottom sides of the truck. Hardest part of the install for me was running the 12v through the firewall, but even that only took 5 mins. I hooked into a Sony HU with a subwoofer out, results are fantastic! It has enough bass response for all the music I listen to, and then some more if I want it. I tweaked the settings on the amp, adjusted the gain, LFO and Boost and was good to go. My HU allows me to adjust through the touch screen interface to set my sub levels, and even turn it off. If you have a deck with this capability, it’s a great feature. Great value for the money. Only thing I would recommend that the manufacturer could change is to include better ends for the wiring kit. I had extra eyelet terminal connectors that are a higher grade, so I used those. Otherwise, the wiring kit appears to be high grade copper wire, which is pretty insane at this price point for the sub and wiring. I am not a high end buyer of stereo systems for vehicles, but, I think 90% of people would be happy with the amount of bass and low end response this sub provides. The included instructions seemed to make the install pretty easy. It may be tricky if you don’t read the literature included and didn’t use YouTube to see the best way to run wires through your vehicle. Overall, I may have to replace my rear stock speakers to keep up with this sub.

Good bass+low price+small package= awesome
Ok I’ve decided to review this sub! I don’t usually write reviews so this is my first! So I bought the 10” sub with the wiring kit and I also bought the 8” around a year ago. These subs Both do Amazing for the amount of space they take up I originally bought the 8 to Put under the seat of my Jeep TJ because of the limited space it has I have it under the driver seat and was amazed at the amount of bass it has it bumps good and for not losing space anywhere else in the Jeep it was amazing! 1 yr on it and it sounds like the day I got it! I love these subs because I don’t need a separate amp I bought the ten and the wiring kit and was pretty impressed they have copper in the 12v positive wire but I think the rest is CCA. I might cut a piece off the12v and use it on the ground side because the ground looks like CCA and I can do that because I have sooooo much extra! I’m putting the 10 (and probably another) in a datsun 720 so the wiring is probably double what Ill need I wanted some pretty big bass in the Datsun but space just doesn’t allow. That is the reason I bought this sub. I feel like with two of these tens I’ll be satisfied if I’m not maybe I’ll add a third because I have room for three I bet! That leads me too my next point... The price! For more bump for your buck I don’t think you can’t get any better than this! I looked at subs at Walmart because I’m impatient. I’m too impatient even for the extremely fast shipping through which I received this sub. The subs at Walmart that were powered were too big to fit, had too small of an amp, and more expensive than this unit. I went to the local audio store and looked at there subs and two 8s in a ported powered box was 600 bucks and I’m still not sure it would fit in my truck! Disclaimer, I didnt try this box so I don’t know how it compares but I’m willing to bet 3 of these 10s would match it if not beat it and I would save like 250 bucks. Now you may ask,”If you love this sub so much why four stars?” Well it’s not a competition sub and it’s inexpensive so I guess I shouldn’t even complain but I felt like i would “top out” the volume on the sub. I never set the safety on the amp like it was pulling to much power and the sub never sounds like it’s maxed out maybe it is but it’ doesn’t sound bad just doesn’t get louder. I’m thinking another will satisfy me but I’m looking for something bigger than just a nice full sound. ten is completely adequate for just some bass to fill the hole in your sound system. So in resume, the bass is good the price is low and the space savings is great!

Excellent!!!
If your looking for I installed this in a 2018 Mustang, the factory speakers were 6.5 inch, 2 in the doors and 2 in the back window with .75 tweeters in the pillers. The stock sound had NO low end ( to be fair, I was used to the factory Bose system in my Silverado). So first I replaced the factory 6.5's with Pioneers which helped a very small amount, still very little low range, but improved the mid and high ranges. I found this on Amazon and thought I'd give it a go after reading the reviews. First, installation was easy, just take your time. ALL wiring is included with this package and had plenty of length. There was no way this thing would fit under a Mustang seat, NO WAY EVER. So I routed all the wiring to the trunk, and still had plenty of wire (which seems to be quality wire.) The size of this unit is still very thin at 3 inches so it takes up very little space in the trunk. Once installed, I am glad it is in the trunk, the sound bounces around the trunk and creates excellent results. This really rounded out my sound quality concerning the low end. It will not vibrate the car beside you, but you can feel it in your car and the sound is excellent. I am not into hip hop, but this makes country, classic rock and metal sound great, and will still vibrate the car with classic rock if you adjust it that way. If your on the fence, go for it. this is well worth the money.

Great product... Poor quality control.
I bought my product back in November or December of 2019, and absolutely adored the final product; the bass was WAY beyond what I expected, without rattling my car. The fact that it included all of the required wiring was a huge plus because this was my first time installing a subwoofer, so to a novice like me it was much appreciated. However, the the reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the product did not last long. The first issue was that the included fuse was popped / broken upon arrival. Not too big of an issue, as AutoZone was only 5 minutes down the road. The real issue is that the included RCA cables defected after less than 3 months of use; I installed the subwoofer at the end of December, and the last time it worked was the first week of March (and that's after being out of the country for 3 weeks, not using the car -- so saying 3 months of use is generous). In all honesty, I was hoping the actual unit itself was defective because I'd rather pay $100 for a brand new unit than go through the hassle of replacing and rewiring everything. Despite COVID, I've been very busy with work -- so finding the time to replace the RCA cables has taken longer than expected. For the woofer itself, I give 5/5. Fantastic sound for the form factor and how much you're paying. For the overall installation kit, I give 3/5 due to poor quality control. EDIT: I have come back to adjust my score and admit that I was wrong; turns out there were no issues with the RCA cables. The issue with my audio was my actual headunit (Sony XAV-AX100); the sub out did not output any signal. After changing headunits, the kit works perfectly. So apologies to Rockville for the unfair / incorrect review, and thank you for a solid and affordable product. (However, I stand by the fuse being DOA.)

Don't waste your money!!!!!
3 subs died in a row, even after proper break in procedures and never using at full gain or full volume on the bass knob! I'm absolutely infuriated by this, I wasted $300 getting two of them and there's not much I can do but keep replacing them under warranty until I get a pair that don't blow up after being used. Rockville clearly redesigned the woofer in these units, as the old ones seemed to work great for people, but in my case, it seems like the new woofer can't even handle the power it's rated for. I absolutely babied the subwoofers that I got under my first warranty claim until I believed they were completely broken in, and nope, not even half way on the gain or the bass knob and only at 70% volume on my headunit and again I hear one start to fail. Insanity. Rockville doesn't back their products well either, as they require you to pay shipping for warranty claims after 90 days, and only have a 1 year warranty. Yet again I will have to send back a subwoofer (this time with my own money) and fingers crossed that the one good one that I still have lasts, and the new one I get actually makes it past a week. I'll be setting the gain lower and making it so they can't be pushed too hard since they can't handle any power. Pissed. Otherwise, I love the way they sound, and two of them hits pretty hard for their size in my car. I'm so incredibly disappointed that they do not have the power handling that are rated for, because if they did they would be an amazing product. Look elsewhere. When my warranty expires I'll be looking for some low profile drivers to replace the wimpy ones they have from the factory to something with better power handling. Just hoping I can find something shallow mount that will actually fit in these boxes, and that the built in amps actually last....

Decent at best
I think the 5 star reviews from this are mostly from people who have never had actual subs. If you have nothing but the cheapy factory paper speakers then yes...im sure this does seem to add a lot of bass. But for aftermarket speaker setups there is one glaring problem with this sub, and that is that it cannot hit anywhere near the lower frequencies that it claims. My infinity REF-9633ix 6x9 can almost go as low as this 10" sub does. Turn the low pass filter down where it should only be thumping the low lows and almost no volume comes out, because the sub doesnt actually go that low. You can hear it TRY to do them, but it cannot and volume drops to almost nothing at the bottom of the range. It is decent at mid bass and "near-sub" bass, but if you already have quality components you've already got that. Maybe this adds another 10-15hz lower than what I already had. Also bass does not sound "tight" and does not hit hard at all. Its more soft booming muddy bass. Lets be realistic, i was not expecting the performance of two 12's in a giant box, but I am left feeling like it was money spent on maybe...maybe a 10-15% improvement. I now wish i had gone another route with a more capable sub or simply not gotten anything at all, I'm that let down and left scratching my head at all these 5 star reviews.

Great sound and quality for the price!
When I bought my Frontier I changed headunit and speakers (Kenwood receiver, low end rockford fosgate speakers). Sounded meh, needed something to fill in lows and even out sound. I'm 40's so I'm not looking to turn heads when I pull up to the gas pumps with my trucks rattling. I just like nice sound for my tunes. The install was very straight forward (even for a stereo install noob like myself, if you are competent and can follow instructions, take your time, and ask for help if needed you got this!). Only complaint is the instructions from Rockville are lacking when talking about the install of the remote wire. (not the adjustable remote for the sub volume). The remove wire that goes from terminal on subwoofer/amp to turn on wire on the reciever. So after hooking everyone up it was "dead". Audiosavings the reseller was AWESOME. I called them directly, a real person helped me with in 5 minutes, told me what I missed. I rant the remaining wire, tucked everything away nicely and it sounds great. It's small, crisp, (no it's not going blow your doors off, probably have to spend more than 100.00 for that). But for spending 300.00 total on my entire system, it is 50x better than the factory. There are a couple tweaks you can do with gain, bass boost, phase (I have mine at 0 ), and low filter (mine is about 30%, my mids and high fill in enough with my regular speakers, just needed low really). Don't hesitate to by this Rockville (it is solid, all metal, easy to install) and to buy from Audiosavings.
