The "seasoned" meat tenderizers are all you can find in our local stores, and they are mostly salt. We find UN-seasoned meat tenderizers here. Thinking I was buying pure tenderizer without the salt I ordered this one. Guess what. It's mostly salt! OK, you win. My bad! I use it anyhow, but I thoroughly rinse the salt out of the meat before cooking. Hey, it's not bad at all after doing that, and it really tenderizes.

I love this meat tenderizer and I recommend everyone to use McCormick and leave all else alone

I purchased this so my puppy would stop eating his poop. I sprinkle some on his food and so far it’s working. This is not something you can use longterm due to the sodium content but it works in the short term. It took about 5 days before I noticed results.

Actually got this to stop dog from eating her poop. By sprinkle it on her food. It didn’t really work and stopped using it . We did try pineapple chunks it helped a little she became a nibbler not a chomper.

For the price of 2 tiny containers of meat tnderizer, this big one is a steal. Plus, it is Not seasoned - which strangely UNseasoned tenderizer isn't available at my local grocers anymore for whatever reason. According to McCormic - this stuff has a shelf life of 720 days after opened. So, even a home cook that uses this sparingly should feel comfortable with the 2 years they have to use it and not feel bad about tossing whatever little bit remains at the end. Oh, and YES - it really does tenderize.
