Good quality
The can is solid and very well constructed. The handle is comfortable. I have not used the wide foot base. The seat is not esp comfortable but it gets the job done for short rests which might be needed. The seat it creates is sturdy but not esp comfortable. It is more of an emergency seat than anything else - well suited for line waiting - say at TSA or similar lines. For more comfort, esp in the air port, I recommend getting one of those folding camp stools and hanging it - in a closed position - over the extendable handles of your rolling suitcase It helps if you have an other bag sitting on top of the rolling suitcase to as to keep the folded stool up higher. It will rest flat against the back of the suitcase and be very handy when you need an emergency seat - say when waiting in line. Here is the one I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08R1LWCK2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. You simply open it up all the way and hang it over the handles of your rolling suitcase. With your favorite cane in one hand and your rolling suitcase in the other, you should be fine in the airport. They should let you bring it aboard the plane because it is a mobility device but if they don't, you can either fold it up an put it in the rolling suitcase or else let them stow it and return it to you at the jetport as you exit the plane. It folds up so small that it really makes no sense for they to stow in. This cane with the seat would be far more useful in settings where you don't have a suitcase. Even in those settings, however, I do believe you will be just as well served via your usual cane in one hand and carrying your folding stool in a tote in the other. The aluminum camp stool is really lightweight. Another option if you do not like carrying totes would be to put the folding stool in a backpack. If you decide to go with this cane, do not plan to sit on the folding seat for very long. It is not comfortable. By comparison the folding camp stool is much more comfortable and a much less expensive option when used in combination with the cane you already have.

If you need it, it's the best
I have a back injury that keeps me from standing or walking for more than 20 minutes or less at a time. I went on a recent trip that was going to require a fair bit of walking. No serious hiking or anything, but more than I could do without sitting down to let my back stop screaming with pain. I bought this for the trip and it did the job great! I didn't want one of the three-legged ones with the big seat because they're too bulky. I only used the seat once, and it was pretty uncomfortable, but it made a good footrest and was better than nothing the one time when I couldn't sit on the ground or something else (it was raining). However, I was very pleased with its performance as a cane. The design of the handle made it really easy to swing quickly for fast walking and was very sturdy. It was just the right height for me (6 ft), but if you're not between 5'10" and 6'2" it probably won't work for you. I have a really nice oak cane that I used before this one, and if I'm dressing up for something I'll still use that one, but for day-to-day use this is now my go-to.

This thing is the cat's pajamas!
This thing is the best! I can't stand or walk for long periods because of my back. This has seen me through parades, a rock concert, shopping malls, airports, and I recently took it with me as a tourist halfway around the world where it stood me in good stead both in the city and in the countryside. I love to show off how cool it is and I've had people ask me where I got it. It's fast and easy to set up and close up and happens to be a good height for me to use as a cane (I'm 5' 2" and 270 lbs). The seat is not the most comfortable, rather small and hard on the sit bones, especially for long periods of time, but it's reliable and easy to use. It might not be as good for someone with balance issues because you have to aim carefully to sit. I consider it a good compromise between function and comfort. When it's closed, it just looks like a cane, unlike the kind that has an obvious round seat attached and looks dorky. It has held up well under extended regular use. I consider it a good deal for the price and I don't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is considering buying it.

Best cane / seat around
For those with Chronic spinal Stenosis and spinal issues like me, who can’t stand in one place very long and need a place to sit, I highly recommend this cane/seat. I’m a big guy 6’ and 310 pounds and have used the cane seat for hours now, to sit on, and it is actually very comfortable, even for a big guy. It’s much more stable than it looks and converts from cane to seat in seconds. Allowed me to go back to places where you are required to sit in long lines for extended periods. Extremely durable aluminum construction. I have had mine 3 months now and use it daily with no issues, actually bought a second one to keep in the car. I highly recommend this product. The seat is very stable even on uneven terrain. I have used it on concrete, dirt, and sand with never a stability issue. This is the best cane/ seat I’ve seen and I have tried numerous ones.

Don't waste your money
I really wanted this cane/seat to work. It seems like the perfect idea to have a regular looking cane that easily converts into a seat when needed. However, the seat, if you can call it that is fairly low to the ground when the cane converts to a tripod to support it. The seat is more of a perch. The biggest issue is how unsturdy it it. This was for an older person who is already somewhat unsteady. There is no way they can safely balance on this thing and trust the flimsy plastic legs will hold up. I do not believe the listed weight limit for it. If a small, younger person needed this for some reason, it might work but not for anyone older, or larger. It is all cheap plastic---nothing warranting $70+

Take a break, why don't you
Excellent idea but . . . Wish it were more adjustable. And the wide foot is terrible. You have to very carefully set it on the floor and it might stay up on its own. Kept it cause it does function well as a seat. However, it is not height adjustable but I can live with that. I had to take it to a mechanic to fit the more stable wide 4 prong foot. Now you can gingerly set it on the floor and it will stand on its own rather easily. It's a decent product but could be so much better.

It's a cane! It's a seat! It's very sturdy!
I'd been looking for something like this for a while. It is quite sturdy, and has a weight capacity of 330 lbs. I'm 6'2" tall and 255 lbs. This cane/stool is perfect for me. it does not feel wobbly when in use. I did read some reviews that indicated it wasn't very comfortable, but the idea is not to emulate an easy chair, but rather, provide a sturdy seat for a brief respite when on long walks, etc. It's lightweight so carrying is no problem. After "road-testing" it, I ordered another one to keep In both my cars. Highly recommend!

Versatile
If you like to go places but don't because you're not sure you can stand long enough to be able to wait for a table or whatever this cane has you covered. I tested the weight maximum and this is stable enough. The only reason 4 stars is the seat is a little small and uncomfortable but that makes it easy to use as a cane. It lets me feel comfortable about leaving the house without my Walker.
