A little cumbersome getting into proper position but totally worth it!!! It is more secure as it grasps onto both the top and bottom of review mirror and in all 4 'corners'. Also, the piece that holds onto the cell phone also has a ledge to hold the bottom of the cell phone. The cumbersome part was pulling out the fixed sliders - but once I realized how to do it, piece of cake: hold unit itself and either pull out or push in the fixed sliders to fit the rear view mirror depth.

This was very easy to assemble with instructions. It mounted to my mirror so easily and is very sturdy. My phone has a2 piece case that is very thick and the phone clamp holds my phone very securely. I love that it is fully adjustable both up and down and it swivels to place at just the right angle for easy viewing. And at least in my car, Dodge dart it doesn’t block the windshield view or the radio when it’s extended down. Very very happy with this purchase

I bought this phone holder with very low expectations because most of the ones I've owned either fall off the dashboard, slowly droop over time, or launch my phone into the passenger seat during the first sharp turn. This one? Absolutely not. Installation was so easy I was convinced I missed a step. I opened the box, attached it, put my phone in, and that was it. No screws, no tools, no instruction manual translated from ancient hieroglyphics. It took longer to throw away the packaging than it did to install. The grip on this thing is incredible. It holds my phone like it owes it money and payday is overdue. Speed bumps? Doesn't care. Potholes? Doesn't care. Sudden braking because someone forgot how a stop sign works? Still doesn't care. Meanwhile, everything else in my truck is sliding around like contestants on a game show, but my phone remains locked in place like it's under witness protection. I've hit bumps hard enough to make me apologize to my suspension, and my phone never moved. At this point, I think the holder is more committed to my phone than I am. If you're looking for a phone holder that's easy to install, holds tight, and doesn't require a mechanical engineering degree to set up, this is the one. Five stars. My phone is secure, my dashboard is organized, and I no longer have to perform acrobatic maneuvers at red lights to retrieve my phone from under the seat.

Works great with phones and phone cases. I have a credit card case that holds 4 cards and my iPhone 15. Fits over the rear view mirror. Pros - very low cost - great design, very easy to assemble and manipulate - stability is great except for some noise - clamp strength is excellent - stable when adjusted to where you want it and tighten different locks - worth the money because it does what it is intended to do - holds my bulky credit card phone case - easy to use and puts together in mins - safety is maintained by keeping phone where u can see it while driving Cons - bulkiness might be an issue and may cover some of the buttons on rear view mirror - noisy when phone is not in carrier - plastic release for phone is flimsy - material used will strip easily when tightening if not careful - must close clamp when not using because of the noise

Good idea, however didn’t work with my rearview mirror. Mine has a hump in the back. So if yours is designed that way, it may not be good for you. Gave to my sister. It works with her Nissan Rogue. Also she said it move a lot, she had to remove her phone case. It’s made it more steady.

It's ok, very heavy. Mirror clamp is a little weak and I had to provide my own reinforcements to hold it in place. Constantly makes my mirror sag. Enjoy having my phone at eye level, but don't really like this mechanism so much for doing so. It will do for now until I find a better replacement.

This is the most reliable phone mount I have bought, I would recommend it more than any of the sticky ones or the vent ones. It’s very stable and doesn’t bounce around much when you drive too!
