Great quality
I bought the Thermalright CPU Contact Frame for my LGA 1700 setup and it’s been a great little upgrade—installation was quick, it feels sturdy, and it really helps keep the CPU cooler seated evenly for better temps. For such an affordable accessory, it adds peace of mind and stability to the build without any hassle.

Fits great. Well made
Not much to say. Great produce. Temp lowered by 3-6 degrees. Easy install. Good quality. Installed on an ASUS TUF gaming Z790 Plus motherboard. Fits great.

What a nice tool! Great job Thermalright!
Sadly I do not have any before/after numbers to share as I installed the frame before the first boot. However, what I can say is that the temps on my 12900K are absolutely phenomenal. Setup: Sitting in a 74F room, cooled by a H100i Capellix XT set as top exhaust inside a Corsair 4000D Airflow with 3x 120mm fans up front. Motherboard is a Strix Z690-E. Load temps were measured using Apex Legends. My idle temps on both the P and E cores average around 18-25C. Load temps under gaming with Windows 11 power plan set to High performance, the max temp I have recorded is around 72C which was very obviously a spike when launching the game. Minus the spike the game hovers in the high 50's to mid 60's temp range. Phenomenal cooling as my old 9900K would average easily in the mid 70's. I have no doubt the contact frame is attributing to the better temps as the 12900K is a very hot running chip. Other small things to praise, the contact frame is built super well. Very refined and smooth edges and a seamless installation (please watch Gamers Nexus video on installation). Thermalright also provides a tube of thermal paste, which I find to be a nice gesture. Overall, this is basically a must have for any 12th and 13th gen owners. No reason at all to get the Thermal Grizzly for like double the price. Great work Thermalright, you guys are winners!

Easy Install and Seems to Work
I'll start off with stating I didn't try to see how hot it would get without installing the frame. After watching a few of the videos about the potential issue with the 12900k I didn't want to take any chances. I originally was going to go with a more expensive brand, but after I watched a Gamers Nexus video about this frame I decided to give it a shot. It cost well below the more expensive one and seemed like it would do the trick. The processor I replaced was a 9900k I'd had for a few years. I had bought a NZXT Kraken X73 I'd used with the 9900k and had to wait on the mounting bracket for the LGA 1700. Since I was waiting on the bracket I decided to order the frame. Bottom line is if you follow the Gamers Nexus video you will have no problem installing this frame properly and shouldn't have any issues with the processor getting too hot. I added tick marks to the screws and turned them in 90 degree increments until it was tightened. So my current build is a i9-12900k with a MSI Z690 MPG Edge Wifi DDR4 with a NZXT Kraken X73 in a Fractal Design Meshify 2 case. I have the radiator at the front and three CM120 exhaust fans at the top and a 140mm rear exhaust. The current stock idle temps are between 25C-30C. This was run at stock settings and as you can see in the very limited run of Cinebench, and the temps it was getting, the 12900k is capable of working at decent temps. I did play some World of Warcraft and didn't notice any temps to be concerned with. Again, I've not tested it without the frame, and seeing the issues others have had, this seemed like a cheap preventive fix. I highly recommend this option if you are concerned with the potential heat issues with this CPU. My only complaint with this product is that it looks very good and is completely hidden under your cooler. I went with the black one since it wouldn't be seen.

ThermalRight FTW!!!
Works and kinda scary to mount not really for new or first PC builder's. I did lose a few degrees Celsius over all so it helped but not the faint of heart. Mounting and getting the tension or tightness set is not fun and can be stressful. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN as it definitely create issues on the socket or CPU it's self. While Thermal grizzly is a nicer higher quality frame but at HELL OF A LOT more cost. This ThermalRight is far more affordable and honesly not terrible build quality, construction, or support. Not my First ThermalRight product or the last. Going for almost a year now with no issues and been stable. I'm experienced PC builder as far back as the 486, Windows 95 days.

Works very well, reduces risk of damage to 12th gen CPUs
I heard that the 12th gens might bend due to heat, so i got 1 of these. Installation is easy as long as you are familiar with building a PC. build quality is okay and looks like it was CNCed very well. I did not notice a big difference in performance, but it does reduce your temps maybe 1-2 degrees. It fits perfectly around the CPU and holds it down evenly all around. Item is priced fairly compared to other competitors. * You must make sure that you are putting equal torque on all 4 screws. You can count the number of turns for the screws, or you can use a torque screw driver for most accurate results. *

Great addition to my PC.
A great replacement to standard contact frame. Provides extra support and heat distribution. Helps to keep temperatures under control.

With Intel CPU's running so hot in the 12th, 13th and 14th gen CPUs you need this contact frame to not only help keep your CPU and Motherboard from bending due to the length of these new CPUs, or the uneven pressure when users tighten down their coolers. I bought this for two reasons, first to keep my CPU and motherboard safe and second to get the benefits of better CPU temperatures. And I was not disappointed. I used this with my MSI Z690-A WiFi motherboard and Intel 12700KF CPU. My normal temps on my CPU at idle in Windows was 37 to 39 degree Celsius. After I installed the frame my temps were 27 to 28 degrees C. A full 10 degrees difference! Well worth the cost and time to install. If you are doing a new system build I would highly recommend this for your builds.

I have a i7 13700kf and have noticed since i got it that the temps while idle and gaming are extremely high. ive tried everything with fan curves and the like. While all that has made some change in lowering the temps i still felt more could be done. Thats how i came across this product. It is extremely easy to install and even comes with instructions just in case youre a little unsure. Once i booted up into a game, ive noticed my cpu temps have often been a few degrees lower than my GPU! My GPU only gets 65-70 degrees on 1440p gaming so the fact my CPU has shown lower temps is mind blowing! GET ONE TODAY!

Easy to install, good value for money, reduced the temp of my intel i5-14600k by about 5c. About the same thickness as the intel 14th CPUs. The free provided thermal paste seems to be reasonable quality. Looks smart (although not visible under most CPU fans/AIO). Hopefully will prevent cpu bend over time.
