Peppermint Oil to Repel Mice and Rats, 4 Pack for Car Engines, Mouse

Not sure if this really works. I have put it out in my horse shed and the mice are there. I have put it in my car and I don't have mice there, but I didn't to begin with. Put on a couple of spots in the house, but we have mice. So I don't think it really works.

Seems to work perfectly under hood of cars for the season. Bought in October exactly a year ago. We had a years-long problem with rodents building nests in the engine compartments of both cars, chewing wire and hoses, carrying snails on top of the engines and leaving broken shells glued into the mess. Tried everything, including cotton in concentrated 15% vinegar. (Burned my nose but apparently not theirs.) Tried this scented creme in a can in an F150 after a critter chewed through a water hose. At least it wasn't a wire harness. Not so much as a footprint in the dust after that. Replaced the can a few months later when I couldn't smell it. Replaced it again this year but I could not smell it and it had no effect on the rat currently harvesting firewall insulation. Just bought a fresh box to try again, and giving it a 5 because I really cannot expect a disk of scent creme to last a year. The cans are easy to use, just peel and stick. If they don't work this year then I will update this review accordingly.

They worked great inside my truck engine compartment to deter rodents. The sticky tape in the bottom of the the container secures well to plastics in the engine bay.

I purchased these to run the squirrels out of my truck and have had mixed results. The squirrels have taken to wearing these things as medallions around their neck when they go out to party in the evening and claim that the girl squirrels find them “sexy”. The squirrels return to my truck in the wee hours in the morning, take off their “medallions” and immediately fall asleep. They wake up in the early afternoon, chew up some wiring, and the whole process starts again. My truck is only safe when the squirrels are partying or sleeping.

I have bought this a few times…This latest version does not work, I opened my hood and there was a rodent sitting on the engine block making a nest right next to this peppermint repellent. I have bought this in the past and it had different packaging, that used to work well and the peppermint smell was strong. This latest version in the green box is a total waste of time and money. The rodent started eating my hood liner, so much damage.
