KEMIMOTO Universal Motorcycle License Plate Bracket with LED Light Aluminum

This fender eliminator was perfect for me. I have an odd Italian bike that there is not much for unless you want to wait a long time. I couldn’t find anything that looked like it would work. I bought this mainly on price, and knew that I could return it if it wasn’t going to work. I was pleasantly surprised with this unit. It’s well made for the price; I wasn’t really expecting much. It was mostly assembled, but loose. I installed the LED plate light, and proceeded to fit it to my bike. The spacing on the mount was perfect for two of the holes left from fender removal. It went on using the factory screws that held on the fender. The adjustment is good to get the angle right, and it fit well. My only suggestion would be to tighten the screws, then back one out at a time, and use some blue thread locker before final assembly. Do not crank down on the screws, the unit is just aluminum, and the screws are stainless. All in all, I think this is a good value for the price. It’s fairly inexpensive, and looks good too.

good looking product, seems durable enough. was oddly shipped open box, but all pieces (including the rusted out allen keys) were still contained in the box. unfortunately this unit does NOT FIT a 2024 Svartpilen 401 :(

Installed this on a 2020 KTM Duke 390 without any issues and with no modifications needed. Quality is good…it’s aluminum, not much else to say about that. Here are two tips from my installation: 1) the license plate portion pivots up and down for adjustment, but there is limited range of motion. It was still facing too far upward (towards the sky) for my liking. Remove and discard one of the two adjustment screws and you then have increased range. I wanted my plate at 90 degrees from the ground (facing straight backwards, and that was easily doable once the second set screw was removed. 2) the first thing I should have done was add some wire extensions to the license plate light it comes with. This is totally optional and not necessary, but it would have given me a little more room to work with when making the connection to the factory wiring once it was on the bike. Great product at a great price.

This plate holder failed on me: I lost my plate and destroyed my new tire. I had one like this from another brand that I used on my other bike without issue, I bought this because it’s the same design and 2 weeks later it came off. Now I have to spend 300 dollars on a new tire and new plate. My tire could be fine but it’s not worth losing my confidence in 1 of 2 of my contact patches. Be wary

Kind of a PIA to install. The bolt system is odd. There are nuts, but the holes are also threaded. This means once the bolt head is tightened all the way you can't get the nuts tightened because they are captured by a channel. Either threaded holes or nuts... Using both makes no sense. I can't attach my reflectors because the material is so thick the threaded shanks aren't long enough. This isn't really a design flaw though... Some reflectors just have shorter shanks. The wires for the LED are very, very thin and fragile. Took me a couple of times to get a secure connection because the wires kept breaking. The entire thing is not square. Once installed I noticed the entire thing was leaning to the left. I took it off and held it up. Sure enough, not square. I had to shim it with washers to get it close. Still not great. I got it to work...and the price is right...but it was a pain to deal with. Edit: Kemimoto reached out multiple times offering a refund or another unit. I declined.

I only rated the FINISHED product five stars. To install on my CF Moto 650 NK I had to cut the corners off the piece that mounts the bracket to the bike. Then I filed the corners smooth and shot a bit of spray paint on it. Even after this modification, which I done only to get the bracket to fit into the recess on the bikes body, I had to drill out new mounting holes for the bolts to actually attach the bracket. Now that the bracket is on the bike you'd think you're good to go but you'd be wrong because the final section doesn't tighten down completely, and I read of this condition on this or another bracket, but I ordered this one anyway. You have to take the bolts out and install a washer OR you might be able to drill out the holes the bolts GO THROUGH, which are threaded but they shouldn't be because there are nuts on the backside, which tighten the bolt. The wires for the license plate light are like hairs, after carefully stripping I soldered them THEN attached them to the bikes wiring with crimp fittings. THIS IS NOT A DIRECT OEM FIT. But, at this price if you have the tools and are at all mechanically inclined you will be happy with the end result and you can rate your install five stars, because by the time you're done you'll deserve it.

Not as straight forward as it should've been, definitely wasn't a plug n play option. But with a drill, and some spacers, I got it to work. Maybe it's the tail section of my ninja, but the angle was bad, so I removed the angle limiting bolt, and got myself legal. All in all, I really like this product. It is strong, sturdy, looks really clean on the bike, I appreciate the many options for angle settings, and fitment, the bright LEDs modernize an older bike and give the plate the necessary lighting. Color options are a nice bonus, but I kept it clean and basic black, but that blue anodized finish was calling my name. Mix and Match for that custom look?
