I have had this set now for a few years. I love it! Both the scissors and the trimming shears work perfectly well. They are still sharp and I use them regularly to cut my hair, my son in laws hair, my grandkids hair, and my daughter uses them sometimes. Definitely worth every penny. The double sided razor comb is a tad bit on the cheaper end I use it still but it just feels cheap and weak in my hand. The case is sturdy and the zipper works smoothly. It hasn’t fallen apart over the years at all. I would definitely buy this again!

As an amateur hair stylist - basically, my own hair and my daughter's - this set is completely adequate and sufficient for what I need. The sheers are sharp and provide a clean cut. The thinning sheers are a convenient tool for our thick hair. I like the convenience of the hair clips being in the case so that I don't have to search for bobby pins when I get urge to cut my hair. Everything I need is right there in the convenient case. I recommend these for home use. I cannot compare them to professional-grade tools, but these have worked well for me over the last several months.

Had a mix up where they didn't ship it on time and claimed I didn't pay (I did - either they didn't see it or the processing was delayed). I contacted them about it and they got it to me ASAP, so that was cool. I used to have some professional scissors from Japan when I lived in Asia. They were sharp, heavy duty, and very reliable for years. Those cost about $50 at the time. Years before that I had the cheap hair cutting shears from walmart with the plastic finger rings for like $10. I am not a professional or had any training, but cut my own hair or for others when we were expats and had trouble communicating our preferences at the time. Back in the US now and having to cut our own hair because of the shelter at home orders. This whole set has everything you need, except for the trimmer, for $30ish. Right off the bat, I knew it wasn't as nice as the Japanese shears I had before. But I did appreciate how heavy duty they were. The swivel has a bit more resistance than I would prefer, but smooth. The weight and resistance is not comfortable for long term daily use, but it seems like it will last a long time. It wasn't sharp enough, but not that dull either. Lightly sharpened it and it works great right away. Thinning shears, razor, comb, clips, cape, and cleaning cloth were actually better than the shears. If you want better shears that are professional, pay more. But this has the essentials we need for now. Would recommend you give the shears a little sharpening and adjust the swivel first. They are not great out of the box but have good potential if tweaked a little. Update - after using the shears a couple of times they basically stopped working. It’s so dull that the hair gets pinched in between the blades without actually cutting. Furthermore it won’t sharpen after that. I have a feeling these are not the hard metal it claims to be. The rest of the set remains okay so far...

cheap - looked used...case is poor quality - glue to seal case looked like it had been done by a child... not happy with this....dont bother.
