Pretty and functional and I know how to read the time!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is a really cool clock. I use it with my bed. That numbers are easy to see and I am old enough that I know how to read the time lol! Easy to sit in the batteries last a good long time. I don’t use the alarm, but I have in the past. It is a great sound and wakes you up very easily.

A great product for the price.
Realizing that so many items now are made in China and are flimsy and cheap looking, this clock still tries to live up to the Westclox Baby Ben tradition as I remember it as a young lad many years ago. It winds, thank God. I don't need to use a battery. And it keeps time rather well with a means to adjust the loses or gains without breaking as another clock I had purchased through the military PX system (I am retired military). I was so pleased to see that Amazon sells Westclox that I purchased two of them. Wallmart,Target,Sears, and the military exchange don't sell Westclox. They all seem to carry clocks that require a battery. I like the sound of the clicking minutes and the fact that the battery doesn't have to be removed for storage until it is needed when I go out of town. Keep up your great work, Amazon. You are my number one source before I purchase anything large and or small and you always provide dependable and reliable service be it in packaging, delivery, and customer service. Thank You Amazon.

Alarm does not work at all. Clock seems to work fine.
I've been using this clock for a couple of months now. I noticed it did gain a little time but, I was able to adjust it to keep time. But the first time I needed to use the alarm feature I could not get it to sound off at all. I went through the brief, and I should say short list of instructions with not luck. I tried starting over at the beginning of the product instructions and warranty sheet and went step by step and just knew it would go off when it reached the desired hour I chose to get up. Nothing. Not even a ding, a buzz, a click, or any sound came from my little clock. To make matters worse apparently the return eligibility days ran out only 2 days ago. At a price of $13.95 the costs of returning it would outweigh the shipping and handling of it so I'm S.O. L. If you know what that means. Unless...... Somebody at NYL Holdings 1212 E.BrowardBlvd,Suite 203 Ft.Lauderdale, Fl 33301 OR Amazon ( Jeff B ) shows me a little compassion and contacts me via my account profile or just sends me another one. Please. This is my first review and/or bad experience using the Amazon platform.

A neo-Luddite's delight
I prefer non-electronic, non-digital clocks in my house, so I was pleased to find this one several years ago. My husband and I each have one on our nightstands - They are identical, but his has a black face with luminescent white hands, and mine has an off-white face with luminescent black hands. We also have one in the living-room near the TV. When I needed one for the guest bedroom, I had a hard time finding them because most people want more 21st century clocks. But I finally found it on Amazon and ordered it.FEATURES:- Analog- Runs on AA batteries that last a little more than a year.- Has a pleasant quiet "tick-tock" sound.- To activate the alarm, push up on the slider button on the back. To turn it off, push the slider down.- To see what time it is in the middle of the night, push on the top knob, which illuminates the face.- No snooze, no lights.- The second hand sweeps very smoothly and noiselessly.PROS- No lights, no radio, no date, no digital functions.- Easy to use, even without the instructions.- Quiet. On most analog battery clocks, the "tick-tock" is a function of the second hand, which jerks from one second to the nest. This one sweeps smoothly, so there's no sound.CONS- The alarm turn-off switch is in the back of the clock, hard to find when you're fumbling around with your eyes closed.- No snooze function. The alarm is either on of off. You don't get a second chance.- The hands appear to be luminescent, but you really can't tell the time in a dark room. You need to hit the top knob to illuminate the face.I have several of these clocks in my house. When one arrived, the base was so loose it wouldn't stand up. When I took off the back to try to tighten the nut that holds it in place (and to insert an A battery,) I found that the nut couldn't be turned because the space was too small. My husband cut through the felt bottom of the stand to reveal the business end of the screw and was able to tighten it easily. The clock is now sitting next to the guest-room bed, ticking away, and unless you turn it upside down, you'd never know that the felt had been cut.All in all, I like this clock and recommend it to other neo-Luddites like me. Four stars because of the silly alarm on-off design, and the fact that I can't see it in the dark without hitting the top button.

Not worth the money
You should buy a better clock, the light already doesn't work. Feels really cheap like cheaper than a tin can. Hard to read as the hands are about the same size instead of one being smaller. Would not buy again! You get what you pay for!

Good clocks requiring batteries
A little larger than the previous ones I owned, but they work perfectly for me.
