Bug free hiking
I was really hesitant to try these. However, after trying one on my dog with good results, I added one to me. They work. I was totally bug free on my hike. I guess it could have just been a bug free day but that is unlikely as it is prime bug season. I will have one of these in my car at all times as an added layer of protection when I am outside!

Works great
I really had my doubts that this would work, but it works great I haven’t had to use bug spray at all. Not sure how it’s going to do after it’s been washed. But it’s a great buy for what you get because I don’t like using bug spray.

Not effective for the Northwoods mosquitos
Bought these in an attempt to help keep mosquitoes away from our dogs. They seemed to help in Minnesota but apparently, the mosquitos in Canada are built different because they still swarmed and even landed on the bandanas.Additionally, the stitching on one of the bandanas was messed up (see pic) which was a bit disappointing.

An ounce of prevention
We’ve been using these bandanas for years. They’re great for the dogs and the humans. They work great in offering another level of protection against ticks. We keep the older worn out ugly ones in our bathroom. Anytime we pick a live tick off the dog, we rub it on the old bandana before discarding them in the toilet. In my tests it takes less than a minute for the permethrin to cause the ticks to lose use of their legs.Another benefit is visibility. They’re comfortable enough that we leave them on all the time. On the dogs that is, my wife and I remove ours upon coming inside. I’d like to see brighter colors available, like Orange and Lime Green. You can also reuse the older ones by tying them around the bottom of your pant legs while outside. It keeps your pants closed to any upward crawling insects, and also providing a safe chemical deterrent. If they crawl across it, the chances are less that they’ll even get to your mid-section, let alone have ability to hang on.

Keep the bites away.
Cute and function. Have used these bug repellant bandannas for years. Hiking, fishing and absolutely perfect while scooping stalls and barn lots. Wipe the sweat, ick and shew the flies.

Repeat purchase
This is the 4th one of these I’ve purchased. Top quality & bug repellent great when fly fishing. Wash well & don’t shrink or fade. Got this one for nephew to use when cutting the grass.
