Works as expected

I bought this portafilter for my DeLonghi Dedica Arte EC885. It fit very well into my machine and worked just fine the first few times I used it. After only a few times it began spurting out the sides of the portafilter, and eventually the pressure became too high and basically shot the portafilter out of the machine. Also, the handle kept easily unscrewing from the metal filter itself, which was frustrating. This might be good for other machines, but wouldn’t recommend for the EC885M

purchased for DeLonghi EC885M and works great. I get espressos. Also, the wood looks great.

For this filter to work adequately: 1) fine ground fresh espresso 2) perfectly flat and dispersed 3) puck screen 4) flat, strong tamp. Other tips appreciated. It still doesn’t work as well as a pressurized filter. Low crema, fine taste. Easy to keep clean.
