Angels: Who They Are, What They Do, and Why It Matters

Actually, not a very informative book on Angels but mostly preaching about God mainly.
As an individual well into their senior years my reading interests have drifted toward not just scientific topics, but also into the more esoteric and spiritual realms as well. This is why when I saw this 220-page hardcover book (Angels: Who they are, what they do, and why it matters by Jack Graham) on Amazon I decided to purchase it. I have read numerous books in the past on the subject of Angels and thought this one might be an interesting read. The delivery service as always was quick and efficient. I just finished reading this book and I must admit to being somewhat disappointed and found this volume to be only a fair read. This is not to say it was not well-written; however, there is actually very little about actual specific Angles and archangels, but is more about God, Jesus and the fact that Angels are there to serve God’s purposes and are more or less just messengers from God. Each section provides specific messages taken from the scriptures to emphasize God’s role and purpose concerning the duties of Angels. This book is organized into four parts. Part, one explains “the wisdom of Angels as you start your journey.” Part two focuses on “the protection of Angels s you sustain life’s blows.” Part three deals with “the encouragement of Angels as you soar on Eagles wings.” The final part covers “the presence of angels as you stay the course with Christ.”This book is actually a totally religious book, preaching the Christian Baptist Bible version of the role of Angels in relation to God and Jesus. If you are into the Christian Bible interpretation of the role Angels play as merely servants of God’s will and nothing more, you may enjoy reading this book.Keep in mind there are various points of view concerning Angels and there are numerous books on this subject you may want to investigate and read besides this volume.Rating: 3 Stars. Biblical Perspective on Angels - GREAT READ!
Dr. Jack Graham does a great job at sharing what is in the Bible about angels. There is so much hype today and people say things about angels and people that simply are not scriptural. I am currently leading a women's study using another guidebook on angels, but came across this as a supplemental book...enjoying it thoroughly and it lines up with scripture. When you don't know much about angels, go to the source - the Bible. Dr. Graham does just that!

Very good
I love this book. I love reading but don’t o it as much as I should. It started out deep and small text that didn’t help but as I kept reading I was pleasantly surprised to find this author taught me quite a bit. It is very interesting. Just don’t give up on it, keep reading.

Great news
Strengthened my hope while I journey through this life. I know what awaits at the end of this life. Liked the message, the simplicity, and the truth in which it was presented. It is always a blessing to learn more from God,s Word. It was almost as if God did pull back the heavenly curtains and allow Dr. Graham to share more about His Heavenly helpers.

Angels from the Realm of Glory
What I like about this book from Jack Graham is the mixture of scripture and modern life examples that bring life and credibility to this whole subject of Angels. Not that we should ever class scripture as anything less but so often has been. I have to say I'm a big fan of Sheila Walsh and her music so a added bonus for me to here some of her testimony but which it was in less stressful times for her. Back to the review and the personal mixture with the historical that gives a wonderful blend of the relevance of this subject of Angels (that causes such confusion to many) but here is a wonderful easy to follow book that does indeed makes sense of this subject. i do highly recommended this book how could i not.

Sermons in print
This is easy reading that looks like it started life as a sermon series. Don't expect too much profound theology or in depth study of angels. The theme gives a platform for a devotional book using Biblical references to angels as the starting point for various loosely related themes.

Good author and interesting subject
I love to watch Jack Graham on television as he is so down to earth and easy to listen to and so I was keen to read one of his books. He writes in the same easy style that he uses to speak. Interesting subject and so far (I haven't finished it yet) I am not disappointed.
