Q: Why is this pictured with a carry bag if it doesn’t come with it ?

Something must be wrong as I ordered the exact same item and it came with a carry bag just like the one pictured. It is a beautiful chess board and carry bag.

I find the quality of the board to be quite fine... board is 1/2" in thinkness, all the joints are very sound... A very good Chess board

Q: Is the board solid wood or laminated wood ?

It’s not real wood, it’s a veneer over cheap mdf and not well stained either. Some of the squares are actually badly cut.

Q: looking to buy African palisander board. Noticed in stock photo and customer pics some squares are misaligned slightly. Is this with all palisanders?

It's a perfect board! Looks lovely in out fine dining restaurant. The bag is nice too.
