After ordering a different phone holder where the installation wouldn't work because the ball joint kept falling out and ended up being such a waste of time. I ordered this with the hope that it would do the job -- it does!! I'm so pleased. It was quick to install (seriously, a few seconds). My phone fits WITH the case that I use daily so I don't need to pop it out and pop it back in (had to do that with my previous phone and it was a bit of an annoyance, granted, first world problem).I did have to adjust my steering wheel so that I could see the whole screen, but it was just a tad bit lower and perfectly comfortable. There is a warning to not have it installed under hot sun for too long, so I would probably watch out for that if you live in a warmer climate -- would it melt? I have no idea, but I live in a cooler, rainier place, so not worried and super happy with this. Such a time saver in terms of installation, daily use, and overall functionality. Oh, and it's so easy to see rather than having to twist my head or eyes to the side, it's straight in my line of sight so I feel that it is safer in that regard as well.Overall, LOVE IT -- thank you!!

Great idea, however once used on one (wider/thicker) dashboard, the mount is useless in our other two cars. Though the product is well made, as far as I am concerned it is a "one use" application unless you are lucky enough to have two vehicles with identical thickness of dash/mount location. I would not buy again

For the price, this thing is pretty good. The design is simple and easy to use. It places my phone in a great viewing location that lets me keep my eyes on the road better and the clamp holds the phone very well. It also is close enough to my steering wheel that quick actions for navigation (i.e. accepting faster routes, etc) are easy without my hands leaving the wheel.My only complaint is that the mount has a tenancy to want to pop off my dash. I measured and the edge of my dash was well within the recommended range, but it wants to spring off. Its only happened twice, and both times while I was removing my phone (never while driving). For the price, I can't complain too much.

To be fair I did not have high expectations for this when I bought it so it was a bit of a long shot to begin with but I have put it to some use so its not all bad.First off the 'clip' that is supposed to hold it to your dashboard is very stiff. Trying to pull it far enough apart to fit on my dash (Jeep Renegade) would cause it to snap off. But even if it did not break the force that would be on my dash would probably cause scratches. So using it the way it was intended was out of the question.So I decided to use it just as a general phone stand and it works fine for the most part. Just need to apply some sort of rubber material to the bottom so it wont slide around on a desk.The build however does feel really good and well made. And the spring clip does a great job at holding your phone securely. The problem is the other 'clip' that is supposed to hold it to your dash making it unusable as intended, at least for me.

Bought two of these. Works great in my Silverado, but my Honda Pilot, not so much. The dash where this would mount on the Pilot has a bit more of a curve where the bottom would grip onto so it slowly slides off until it comes completely off. Not worried, I'm sure I can find a home for it.Overall, it holds the phone well, no fear of it popping out, and it's nice that I can adjust and fine tune the phones position and angle.

It does the job but it slides off the dashboard too easily; I wish the support would have a glue or a stickier rubber.You really need to plan on using two hands to remove the phone from holder; not very practical if you need to lookup another address or use another app while driving.

When driving in cities I almost always depend on my phone gps to get where I need to get. Most car mounts are on the right side and are difficult in my opinion to look at and stay focused on the road. So when I saw this car mount that could be clipped behind my stearing wheel I loved the idea. I have an I phone 7 plus with an otter box on it most of the time. So I was a little worried that it wouldn't be able to grip it that well. To my surprise it held onto my phone with the otter box and without it. Doesn't shake or move at all. By far one of the best purchases I've made and at a great price.

Only lasted two months. It lost grip little by little until it began to slip and slide around. When I tried to adjust it, it cracked and it is longer usable.
