Ambient Weather (WITHOUT Rain Cup) - WS-5050 Ultrasonic Smart Station

This is a professional grade weather station. The assembly was pretty easy, and well made. I highly recommend it.

I got this to replace an old station that was basically the bane of my existence. This one actually works! I was able to get it hooked up to weather underground, and I haven't had any issues at all so far. I'm not looking forward to the day I need to change the batteries, but I do like that the display shows the signal strength and battery life. I wish I had just bought this one to start with. If you're going to climb up on your roof to install a weather station, get a good one. This one is a good one. That's my advice.

Unit feels cheap. Outside unit mount is poorly designed so easy to damage heater wire - not important as I don't need it in the Tropics, but still , annoyed to break the wire when fitting the mounting screw. Does what it says it will. But at the price would expect better quality in terms of materials and screen, the latter looks like a cheap lcd non-glass thing from the past.

Just components, no instructions, no packing list, no safety warnings not even a quick start guide. Just got mine (no rain cup) and there are absolutely NO written instructions in the box. No URL to go looking for any. No warranty information, nothing but, admittedly well packaged, equipment. Anymore, I open any packages from Amazon with a skeptical eye. I'll muddle through this process and might send an update if warranted. A little concerned about the ring around the top holding the solar panel.
