Works fine! 1min 20sec reset countdown. Must connect hdd led to test.
It works fine. Restarts after about 1 minute and 20 second. To test this device to see if it works you must plug in both hdd led and reset then remove the hdd led while the computer is on. (Do this at your own risk). I wanted to verify that this thing works. If you try to test it by plugging in only the reset it will not restart the computer. It needs to see those first hdd blinks for it to activate. You must connect the hdd led with correct polarity. There is a bright blue light on the USB plug of the Watch dog That is a replacement for the HDDLED.If your polarity is incorrect the blue light will not light up and you need to flip your hdd led connector.

not much documentation, but does what it says
It takes over whatever you might have had for an HD activity light, and it takes over any reset switch you might have had. On a desktop, any HD light and front panel reset quit working. For its USB connection it appears to only take power. it asserts the reset after about 5 minutes of no HD activity. That's exactly what I needed for an unattended machine that sometimes hangs.

Did not work on my mining rig, it would still occasionally hang at a black screen and the watchdog did nothing to restart it. Needs a second phase for a hard shutdown and reboot. I'm sure it would work in some situations but was not ideal for my mining rig.

So far this USB WatchDog has not done anything when my Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit OS has locked up on me. I think I may have gotten a defective unit and am pursuing the Seller for a replacement.

It might start working properly someday
The way this works is by using hard drive activity to stay on.Meaning, it will probably fail at its job if you just plug it in as instructed. With no documentation, you will have to create a script to make this USB work; the scripts I've created so far are unreliable.I am using these on linux machines; they will constantly restart your device after it stops loading up the OS; hopefully someone will discover a command or library to stop this from occuring.TL;DR without making the HDD LED turn on reliably for your given board, you cannot expect this to work properly; it hasn't in my case.EDIT it's hacky but I use dd with a random byte read every few seconds, works with this script so far

These watchdogs don't work at all
I bought 4 and none of them worked at all. I feel ripped off.
