I used these to make melted bead art "rememberalls" with my Harry Potter club. If you go outside and they change color, you have forgotten something. If they glow at night, you have forgotten something! Fun and my middle school kids loved them.Put a single layer in a muffin tin and heat 450° for 20 minutes (or until melted.) They do have a plasticky smell when they are melting, so some people prefer to melt them in a BBQ grill or when you can have all the windows open. Cool them and they will easily pop out of the tin. I drilled holed and put a pipe cleaner through.

Great fun

I bought these for a UV bracelet after-school activity. They did not have a very dramatic reaction when outdoors. Look for the beads on the Steve Spangler Science website if it is important to you for the outdoor reaction to be quick and easily recognizable.

They don’t get quite as darkly colored in the sun, but they’re still pretty and a BIG hit with kids of all ages!!!
