I used this 9.5 mm between metal/PIR sandwhich panels and a 175 x 175 mm Oak beam. We laid it on the beam and placed a metal faced panel on it. We then had to lift the edge slightly to engage the next panel. Could we!! Two of us managed eventually to get the knack of lifting 15 mm but it took muscle because this stuff has such amazing adhesion! It then went down and sealed perfectly. I am SO pleased with it! It takes up the 3 mm valley stripes of the underside of the panel and the undulating surface of the Oak. It will also cope with movement differential between Oak and steel. I am extremely pleased. This is a random purchase, I have no connection to any schemes or incentives.

I'd been getting water ingress into the rear light cluster on my Swift Sport for a while and finally decided to do something about it properly. Ordered this butyl sealant tape on a bit of a whim and honestly couldn't be happier. It was dead easy to work with — peels off the backing cleanly, sticks exactly where you put it, and moulds into the gaps really well. Made resealing the light cluster a doddle. Since doing the job I've had no water getting in at all, which is exactly what I needed. Good length of rubber for the price too, had plenty to work with. Would absolutely buy again and would recommend to anyone dealing with the same kind of issue on their car.

Used to replace the seal on an old Velux GLL window (between aluminium and glass). No leaks so far!

Brought these to try and stop an extremely annoying vibrating noise coming from inside my drivers door. I took my door panel off and there were so many things that it could potentially be so I used this around every wire and fixture that could possibly be causing the noise. This stuff is amazing. It’s very pliable and feels like plasticine but without the drying out. It comes in a roll separated by wax paper and after applying it to anything I suspected it could be the noise was gone! A little really does go a long way making it great value for money and can be used for so many things. It’s easy to use as it is separated by the wax paper so it doesn’t stick to itself. I also put it around the door clips before putting the panel back on as they could have also been causing the noise. So after an hour and a half of a Sunday morning I am extremely happy and my car is now rattle free! 10/10

I remember buying butyl tape as a flat sort of pack with two sides, layers of plastic on either side and that stuff was gray and extremely sticky. So I couldn't find that so I ordered this because it seems to be the same name stuff and I guess they no longer sell it. on this item, it's not as sticky as the stuff I was talking about, which I couldn't find anymore. This is certainly much less adhesive. Having said that, it still does sort of stick to things fairly well. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 for stickiness. It can certainly be placed on objects, plastic wood, etc. But before it really had a lot of adhesion to the point where I even used quite a lot of it to hold a reflex punching bag, I certainly think this stuff would fare a lot worse, I don't think I'd even bother using it for something, uh, load bearing, to be honest. I don't have butyl tape, but I don't think this is the same stuff that they use on that aluminium butyl tape, so this is nowhere near that level of adhesion, however, this stuff, you know, you do get quite a lot of it and it did the job I needed, so I can't exactly knock it. It doesn't seem to adhere to itself, which my previous butyl sealant, did was extremely sticky, even versus itself. So depending on your use case, this stuff might be fine. It was for me.

Worked a charm for revealing my headlights. Had no leaks or condensation and had for about 2/3months

Works excactly as described needed it to remove door card retaining screw covers without marking the door card. Tacky enough but requires re moulding every couple of days to keep it sticky

I have always used sponge tape for hob installs, and every time, all they did was soak up oil and grease and proved impossible to clean, which is why I looked at Butyl tape after using it on other applications. Easy to apply, moulds well and once in place, let's just say it is not coming off again easily, and it is impervious to oil, grease and water, so no more of that nasty weeping line around the edge of the hob.

Perfect tape, easy to use

Franchement, rien à dire : je l'ai acheté pour le mettre sur ma portière en changeant le moteur lève-vitre afin de rendre l'ensemble hermétique et d'éviter que l'eau ne rentre à l'intérieur de l'habitacle. C'est la qualité que tout le monde attend pour ce genre de produit.
