ENGO Rectangle Blister Prevention Patches (2 Patches) | Trim to Fit Skates, Cleats, Helmets, Equipment, Shoes

These are amazing! They work extremely effectively at reducing friction on your feet. However, they don't last forever. I would estimate that these patches lasted in my insoles for about 300 km before they were spent enough to be as rough as the insole material itself. You can see from the wear spots in the photo how the frictionless coating rubs off after a while. That said, I used them extremely hard. I had these in my boots while I was ruck marching and ruck running a minimum of 30 km a week with 80-100 lbs on my back. I don't think I would have been able to avoid blisters on my feet with 20+ km ruck marches without them, they were a game changer for me. Just be prepared to replace them after a while. For the people that had trouble getting them to stick to your insoles, make sure the insoles are completely clean (ideally new), and use a hair dryer to get the glue to seep into the insole fabric. I got these patches to stick so well I needed a hair dryer again to just loosen the edges to peel them off the insole to replace them.

These saved my new favorite shoes and kept me from having to buy new ones, so they are 100% worth the price. I am pregnant and work as a teacher, and my old shoes were causing pain at work, because they are rigid (made of leather) and my feet had increased a full shoe size. Finding shoes that fit has always been a struggle for me due to narrow feet and extra-narrow heels, so after striking out with online orders, I finally went to a brick-and-mortar shoe store. I picked out a new pair of shoes that are ergonomic, support my arch well (it can collapse during pregnancy), and will still fit even when my feet swell, since they have a mesh upper. Also, there are no laces or straps, so I don’t have to bend down or sit to put them on. Perfect pregnancy shoes! They were $140, which is what I would normally pay for nice shoes that I expect to be able to wear every day for a few years. Well, the first day wearing them, my feet felt so much better... except for one spot underneath the ball and pinky toe of my left foot, which felt irritated, like a blister might develop. I tried a few different socks over the next few days, and it didn’t help. I was so worried I’d have to start all over with my search and drop yet more cash on another style of shoe. I decided to try these first. They were tough to get into position because my insoles are not removable - I cut one in half, placed it, wore it for a day, and it helped a lot, but didn’t cure the problem, as there was still a small spot rubbing my foot. So then I had my husband (who has bigger hands) place the other half in front of the sticker I had placed, with a little overlap... and that cured the rubbing problem instantly. I no longer have any irritation in that spot, and no blister ever developed. And since it comes in a 2-pack, if it ever comes off, I’ll be able to reapply the sticker in the exact same spot without spending any more money. (If you also have a big spot on your foot that gets irritated, I don’t recommend cutting the sticker, since it worked best for me when both halves were placed right next to each other.)

Works really well. I used to get blisters every time I play netball but since using these I’ve yet to have one!!! 10/10 recommend

This is my first Amazon review, ha. I've had terrible problems with blisters on the balls of my feet ever since high school. I played competitive basketball and tennis, and went to doctors and tried different insoles, socks, shoes, etc... and just kept getting perpetual blisters on the balls of my feet (I have super high arches.) Anyway, as an active adult, my normal regiment is to just I use body glide, high quality socks, etc... and deal with the pain. NOTHING EVER WORKS, and it sucks and it always has been just dealing with pain and fighting through it. I recently started playing competitive tennis again, and of course, started getting blisters, and I did some research and found out about these patches. I ordered some on a whim but having ZERO expectations that they would work. Lo and behold, they are like magic! I cut out ovals just big enough to cover the size of the balls of feet. It's a little weird at first when you're making hard cuts left and right (like you do playing sports) because there's a slight slippage feeling, but once you get used to it, it's amazing because it also means you're not getting the friction that leads to hot spots and blisters. Since I've put these in the insoles oof my tennis shoes and running shoes, I've had ZERO blisters and zero hot spots, and I literally feel like I'm a new man. How/why did I not know about these sooner! I highly recommend these for anyone who struggles with blisters like I do. You won't regret it!

I used this item in my skates where they were rubbing. Works! A little pricey.
