About me:I am a DJ, audio engineer, and dabble in music production. I've been making music for decades and am known for quality. Most people say I'm a sound snob. There's nothing wrong with liking quality...Right? I absolutely loved the TOZO Golden X1 earbuds, but I needed an inexpensive quality earbud while I was working through an issue.TOZO NC9:That's what brought me to purchase the NC9 earbuds. I needed some good sound as I went about my day, but after experiencing the TOZO quality, I didn't want to use the other earbuds I own. So, I decided to buy a less expensive TOZO earbud while I worked with their tech department on my X1. While these don't sound as good as the X1, the NC9 can hold their own. You need to give them a little more volume before they give you the best sound. If you like your music loud, you won't have a problem. For me, I listen to many genres. Some sound good loud and others require a low volume to appreciate. At low volumes these sound 'good', but when you push them a little more, they come into that sweet spot.They have a good sound balance (especially at this price point) and sit nicely in the ear. If you want more control over the sound, they can attach to the TOZO sound app which will give you access to an equalizer so you can fine tune to your ear's delight. The software will also give you a 'hearing test' so it will boost frequencies that your ear is weak in.I'm guessing that the NC9 is the 9th version of the noise cancelling line. So, of course, they have great noise cancelling. When I'm in buildings with white noise pumped in or a loud HVAC system, the active noise cancelling eliminates that sound. It almost feels like closing the door to a sound proof room. This also allows you to listen to music at a lower volume and be able to hear every sound without damaging your hearing. The way it works is that there are dedicated microphones built in that listens to your surrounding environment. It then sends a 'counter signal' to cancel that sound. It works well. They also have a 'listen through' option. This actually uses those microphones to hear what's happening around you. This way when someone tries to talk to you, all you have to do is tap your left earbud and you can hear them clearly.These say they are waterproof, but I'm not going to go swimming with them. I can tell you that I was wearing them in the shower and accidently got them wet. They never stopped working. Also, I could barely hear the water running or the air vent humming with the noise cancellation active.Bottom line is these are great earbuds. I like the Golden X1 better (wrote a review there too) but these are a good sounding earbud for those who don't want to spend the extra money on the X1.They come with multiple cup sizes, you can use the one that fits best.

Wow.In the past I usually stuck with cheap earbuds because it never seemed like a priority of mine to drop semi-serious money on a pair.There was a great % off deal going on with these so I thought why not and gave them a try.I am SO glad that I pulled the trigger on these. They are truly amazing for something so small.The noise cancellation feature blew me away. It blocks out almost everything around you....it was an eerie experience at first being in absolute total silence but once I got used to it I truly enjoyed being able to just zone out either in pure silence or just listening to the music with zero distractions. Now of course there are some sounds that make it past the noise cancellation feature, but it does one awesome job of countering those to an incredibly muffled level. There's also a transparency mode that lets you hear background noise like the tv or another person if you don't want to be completely enveloped in silence.There's an app you can download that lets you explore the noise cancellation features as well as gives you the ability to adjust the sound profile to whatever you please. I definitely recommend downloading that.You can tap on the sides of each bud to do specific actions like stop or pause or turn the noise cancelling features on or off as well.The case itself charges the earbuds too which I thought was cool and the charging in general is pretty quick.The sound is amazing to me. The first time I heard a track with deep bass, I was blown away by what these things could do. I heard lyrics/instruments in such a different way because everything is so crisp and vibrant. Never knew what I was missing till I got these to be honest.The only issue I could find was that after a while in your ears they can become slightly uncomfortable. I would imagine that's the case with a lot of these, I mean nothing is going to be truly comfortable in your ears after hours upon hours upon hours.....but these definitely do a good job trying.If these were in your price range and you're on the fence, I'd definitely give them shot. I'm sure more expensive ones have more bells and whistles but at this price point for it to have active noise cancellation features, support Hi-Res LDAC audio, be IPX6 waterproof and be on the cutting edge of communication speed with Bluetooth 5.3....yeah, definitely give them a try, I was thrilled that I did.
