TOMASHI Portable Cassette Player Tape Recorder with Built-in Speaker,Microphone,Headphone Jack-, 4.57 x 3.54 x 1.38inch

I coupled this little unit with an adaptor cable to my stereo amplifier and it sounds awesome. Even the built-in speaker is good. I wish it came with an AC/DC adapter for battery-less power, but two AAs is easy enough. Now I can listen to my ancient cassette tapes. Super portable, super responsive, very functional, looks great, and quite reliable.

My daughter says the tape speed is steady even as she is jumping around. No radio is a bit of a bummer, but there is an input jack and a recording head. Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward if you like the old school aesthetic. You need to expect a unique soundscape and "character" otherwise you will be disappointed with sound quality. It's great for my kid- she uses it every day with rechargeable batteries.

If your answer is yes to any of these questions then you should not buy this and instead choose a different brand: Q1: Are you looking to use this to record onto cassette tapes? Q2: Are you expecting to listen to sound on this device? Q3: Do you expect this device to have stereo sound and recording? Q4: When the description talks about a niche 4.5v barrel plug power cable, do you expect that cable to come with the device you paid for? Main points: 1. For the same price as all the other tape decks on Amazon, this one has 0 features, and what it offers sucks. 2. It offers playback, which you can hear the tape whirring away through the speaker, and it's MONO sound like what the heck?? 3. It offers recording (if you can call it that) through a mic or plug in, the sound again... IS MONO which is horrible and distorts any sort of prerecorded sounds, and voice recording is also a nightmare. 4. Onto the features it doesn't offer: 1. Within 10$ of this price you can find another deck with all the following features 2. AM/FM radio & extendable antenna 3. STEREO SOUND for pete's sake, the only people buying these are those that WANT TO LISTEN TO THINGS. This thing is unbearable, it's not nostalgic, it's not quirky it's unbearable! 4. Auto rewind at the end of the tape, not a deal breaker just a convenience that many other decks have 5. Track seeking to skip between songs by detecting the pauses, again not a deal breaker but there are some cheap decks out there with this amazing feature. Just stop and ask yourself the questions I wrote at the beginning, and then go buy a different cassette player.

Product not working

Played very well for me for a while. After some consistent playing (brand new tape playing A side to B side over and over for about 3+ hours for maybe 3 nights) the internals definitely needed to be cleaned. The audio started to get slow and crunckly. After taking some rubbing alcohol and wiping down the pinch roller, it started working almost perfectly again, though now it needs to be cleaned much more frequently. Honestly, I don't know what to make of it, but it works wonderfully otherwise.

This cassette player/recorder performs extremely well given its low price. I do not use it for any other purpose than to check my extensive recorded cassette tape library's contents from time to time. If you want a high fidelity stereo cassette player, you have to spend more than $20. Check out the video if you want to hear what it sounds like coming through the built-in speaker. The fidelity is better if you plug in quality headphones!

Bought this as an alternative for me using up our phone data because analog for the win, physical media for the win. Recorded my own personal mixtape of my favorite songs, so far so good! THE RECORDING PLAYS NICE IF YOU FIND THE SWEET SPOT (PLAYBACK QUIET AND MATCH THE HERTZ) ! it is VERY noisy though!!!!! The reviews DO NOT LIE!!! NOISE!!!! SO MUCH NOISE!!! Overpowering noise. Every once in a while the buttons dont click, but its not very bad, i just have to push a bit harder. I havent had it long enough to really notice how long the battery lasts but as per the reviews ive read it doesnt last long, sadly. the instructions were easy to understand. the product DOES NOT contain an aux to aux 3.5mm cable as advertised, you need to buy one separately. Otherwise it is a very nifty device.

My cassette tape came today. I ordered one from Olivia Rodrigo but it won’t be here until July so I needed something to play my cassettes as that is a new addiction of mine. I think it sounds so cool and it works perfectly with my Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift cassettes. It is easy to use and very portable and I absolutely love it!

Eins der besten neu produzierten Walkmans, die es gibt! Funktioniert wie die früheren Originale und die tolle Farbe + Optik machen alles umso schöner und nostalgischer.

Registra benissimo MONO dal jack mic che invece accetta aux. Ed è questo che cercavo. Mi raccomando registrare con le pile e non con alimentazione DC perché in questo ultimo caso registra peggio
