After looking at multiple grills and pellet smokers, we decided on the Captiva Designs 4 burner grill. The porcelain-coated grates heat evenly, ensuring perfect cooking results. Cleaning is a breeze thanks to the easy-to-remove drip tray. The installation instructions were detailed, making setup simple with two people.The instructions are pretty straight forward and we only used a phillips screwdriver for assembly. It does have a place for limited storage underneath where the propane bottle sits. We had a propane bottle from our previous grill (this grill did not include one, but I’ve never had one that does), so we hooked it up and checked for leaks. I have to say that the grill igniter was a breeze to use and get the grill started and I noticed right away that all the burners lit quickly. We cooked some salmon and regular burners and I’m happy to say that this grill has an even cooking surface and the controls for the heat are excellent. Everything came out great and the grates and drip box were very easy to clean. So all in all we are pretty happy with our purchase and how sturdy this model is, we expect it to last for years of cooking.

Terrible. Don't buy. Paint falls off in cook-box, so you will be eating paint with your food. (forever chemicals in your body). I only used four times and it is already rusting and coming apart. Funny how it started coming apart right after the return window had closed. I was so upset that I tried to go through the return process with Amazon but the refund request was denied because they said it was about a month late. The supplier did offer to send me a new barbeque after I sent them pictures of the rust and paint falling off in the cook-box, but I rejected the offer of a new barbeque because I don't want to be cause of having more of these toxic cookers out in the world, even if it was free. (Plus building it was time consuming because it comes in a box and assembly required). Instead I just called junk removal to get rid of a barbeque that was just four months old.) Wasted money. Gonna buy a Weber. So done with this. In spanish there is a saying that says: Lo barato sale caro. (That which is cheap will end up being expensive). Anyway, my previous reviews were not allowed because i had used profanity. That is how angry I was! (It has taken me a week to cool down and be able to write a publishable review). I don't like eating black paint. The good reviews must be fake. Please don't be fooled by the pretty picture of the barbeque.

I’ve been really happy with the new grill, it’s a solid choice for backyard BBQs. It heats up quickly and the 42,000 BTU output gives plenty of power to cook everything evenly, from burgers to veggies. The porcelain-enameled cast iron grates hold heat well and leave nice grill marks, which I love. The side burner is a great bonus for sauces or sides, so I don’t have to keep running inside. It also looks sleek with the stainless steel finish and feels sturdy overall. Assembly took a bit of time for 2 adults but once set up, it’s been reliable and easy to use. Great value for the price!

Purchased this off-brand gas grill hoping to save a little money over the more expensive name brand gills. Assembly instructions were detailed enough to enable assembly in about 1.5 hrs. The grill has a nice appearance and grills well (one grilling at the time of this writing). The grill heats quick, even and controls as expected. There are a few items that keep me from giving 4 or 5 starts. Upon unpacking, the back panel was dented (see photos), the top edge near the right most grill tube burner control was dented (see three photos at various angles) and the left hand body of the grill had a large scratch. The dents and scratches do not inhibit the function, but disappointing on a new 'toy'. I have contacted the seller and will update this post in a few days/weeks regarding the seller responds. Update to Original Post: Seller responded within 24 hours. Remedied the dented/scratched grill with a rebate. Grill works great. I've cooked steak, burgers and chicken on the grill. I have use the side burner for brewing beer using a 4 gal steel pot. Very happy and have changed the rating from 3 to 4 due to the quick response and reply from seller. Thank you for the service!

I’m really happy with this gas grill so far. The setup was straightforward and didn’t take too long. The instructions were clear enough to follow without frustration. The heat distribution is pretty even, which makes grilling much easier. I’ve tried cooking ribs and vegetables, and everything turned out great. It heats up quickly and maintains a steady temperature. The size is also very practical — enough space to cook for a small group without feeling bulky. Cleaning has been manageable as well, which is always a plus. Overall, it feels like a solid and reliable grill for everyday use. I’m looking forward to using it more this summer.

It is such a great grill! I used it for my summer grilling since the weather is starting to get hot, and it is doing a perfect job! The entire surface was evenly heated up, which is very important to me. You do not want any hot spot. I also like the oil tray with a little oil-collecting basket design. Easy to use and clean. I carefully went through every single step of installation. The instruction is very detailed, but make sure you follow every step. It is my first time putting together a grill, but I was able to do it by myself without any help.

We had this grill only a year and 8 months. We didn’t end up using it a lot, but the bottom has already disintegrated and there is a gaping hole. The metal pieces that are over the burners also were flimsy enough where they deteriorated way too soon. It was hard to keep at a low enough temperature for good grilling. I ended up putting the meat over two burners that I would turn off after the grill was pre heated in order to avoid the meat getting scorched. We already have to throw it out.
