Maxxis Minion DHR Mountain Bike Tire

this tire is great for loamy soil and situations where you need serious grip on loose to thick conditions in primarily downhill direction. The rolling resistance is quite high, higher than the Butcher's I was running before this. It's high enough to offset the weight savings by getting this lighter model. Butcher is a solid alternative. It doesn't get quite as much grip in loose corners, but the Butcher is clearly faster on harder dirt. The DHR has a more robust sidewall than the Butcher though... which has held up well for me on rocky trails in the Sierras and So Cal.

These Maxxis Minion folding 26x2.35 tires are great. I purchased both the front and rear tires. Good traction for the loose material found in Tucson, AZ. Fast tires, I do not feel much rolling resistance. Plus, the large volume just eats up the rocks and bumps. I run mine at only 20 psi and they are plenty hard, the rims do not strike and I don't feel any tire roll. I am running Stans NO-tubes sealant system in these tires for 2 months now. They installed easily with the Stans and so far no blebs in the tread or leaks. I am very happy with these tires. I use them for cross country and whatever technical terrain I can find. Woo-Hoo

I ride mostly cross country, but my hardpack crossmax tires weren't cutting it for the winter.These tires climb like tractor tires in the mud, slop, and sand. I was riding with some guys and they were slipping all over the place, these held on. The ramped edges allow them to run fairly fast on hard pack, but that's not what these are best at.TONS of traction in all conditions. They aren't the fastest rolling tire, or the lightest, but they are incredible.On downhills I've found that even in a two wheel slide you don't lose a sense of control, they slide very predictably and keep grabbing for more.

I have Maxxis tires on my Nomad all mountain bike now, and I thought these ones would be a lot beefier and wider than my 2.35s, but they look almost exactly the same. Plus, the rubber is VERY stiff, not pliable and grippy feeling. I bought both the front and back tires but I returned them both - they don't seem to be that much wider than my current 2.35s. I didn't measure with a little tool, but I wasn't impressed with these at all. Maybe they ride awesome, but I'll stick with the Maxxis 2.35s for now.

Love these tires.

Grippy, but wears quickly, as expected, and weeps often when mounted ghetto tubeless. But the price was right.

I have terminated My Kenda nevegal tires and hired the Maxxis! I'm running the Minion front and the high roller rear, awesome combo. Will always use this Maxxis combo.

Very sticky, and solid tires for technical all mountain and downhill. Was getting pinch flats on sharp rocks on my old tires, but no more. A bit heavy, and a bit more rolling resistance, but the trade off is worth it.

prodotto ottimo, grande aderenza, resistente, si adatta a tutte le superfici.. unico problema è farlo tallonare nel montaggio senza camera.. senza compressore è impossibile, con il compressore bisogna insistere.. in caso di perdita di pressione durante un giro è praticamente impossibile rigonfiarlo, serve camera... (NB. non è una gomma tubeless...)

Muss vorsichtig transportiert werden. ich hab's deformiert bekommen, so dass es bis jetzt zu seiner normalen Form nicht gekommen ist.

Toller Reifen mit sehr guten Fahreigenschaften vorallem auf Walboden und losem Untergrund.Allerdings bedingt durch die Breite hoher Rollwiederstand.Würde den Reifen jederzeit wieder kaufen.
