Washer Door Lock Strik for LG MFG63099101

Worked perfectly on my LG front loader. I found a YouTube video on how to repair the door latch myself and saved almost $400, which is what I was quoted by an appliance repairman. We were also looking at about two weeks before they could come out to fix it. Good quality.

Exact fit for LG WM3270CW washer. Strike broke into several pieces inside door lock damaging that part as well, leaving me with no washer since door will no longer stay closed. I needed 2 other things to complete this job, door lock EBF61315802 and a spring expansion removal tool, this is a must to remove and put back in the Front Door Boot Spring Clamp. With all these 3 parts it’s a fairly easy to complete job, no need to spend hundreds on labor and parts marked up at a higher price to get a technician over to fix.

This was a more substantial project to replace than I expected, but totally doable for a moderately handy person. To do the job correctly you have to disassemble the whole front end of the machine. There’s a good video online showing how to do it. But for $50 it was pretty satisfying to replace the latch and door connection module on a 10 year old washer and buy it a bit more time. Amazingly it works perfectly now. Do buy the special pliers to remove and reinstall the spring that hold on the gasket.

Fairly easy to switch out and works so no complaints so far.
