Is it ok in a salt chlorinated pool. Does "not saltwater friendly" mean ocean salt water or salt chlorinated pool?

We recommend “food grade” salt for your pool. However, if the water chemistry isn’t kept balanced, over time there possibly could be some corrosion.

Why cant they go into a salt chlorinated pool?

Hi, Kendra. I think the ladder must be plated with a preservative (like rhodium) to protect the shine. Salt would likely cause pitting of the protective surface, allowing some deteriorating chemical reaction to set in. The plating/coating would start flaking off, exposing the stainless steel to the water. Stainless steel is an iron alloy, and iron rusts.

What is the inside and outside diameter of the handrail?

Not sure, but the ladder will fit a standard deck anchor.
